Glipy tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.

Glipy Tablet Composition :-

Glipy tablet contains :

Vildagliptin .................................. 50 mg

 

Vildagliptin is an dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors class antidiabetic drugs.

Glipy Tablet Uses :-

Glipy tablet is an antidiabetic drugs, used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age. Glipy tablet is also used in combination with other diabetes medicines. Glipy tablet can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs.
When Glipy tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar. 

Glipy Tablet Dosage :-

Glipy tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Glipy tablet as directed by your doctor. Use Glipy tablet exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor. Glipy tablet should be taken immediately before or with a meal. Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. And always try to take Glipy tablet on regular schedule. Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control. Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking Glipy tablet without asking your doctor. Because the treatment of diabetes is lifelong.

How Does Glipy Tablet ( Vildagliptin ) Work :-

Glipy tablet contains : Vildagliptin.

Vildagliptin works by increasing the amount of insulin produced by our body. It also decreases the amount of glucagon produced by the pancreas. Glucagon causes your liver to produce more sugar, so by reducing the amount of glucagon in your body, it also helps lower your blood sugar levels. Vildagliptin lowers the amount of glucose in the blood. 

Thus Glipy tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.

Glipy Tablet Sideeffects :-

Like all medicines, Glipy tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.

Some common side effects like -

Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia),

Dizziness,

Abdominal pain,

Headache,

Swollen hands and feet,

Constipation,

Sick,

Feeling tired,

and many other side effects can occur.
