Metolar TL 25 Composition :-

It contains of a combination of two drugs.
Telmisartan ...................... 40 mg
Metoprolol Succinate...... 25 mg
( Extended  release)

Metoprolol Succinate is a beta-blocker. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB).

Metolar TL 25 Uses :-

This medicine ( Telmisartan & Metoprolol Succinate ) is used to treat high blood pressure (Hypertension and chest pain (angina) related to heart disease (angina) and in addition to many other heart related conditions.

Metolar TL 25 Dosage :-

This medicine ( Telmisartan & Metoprolol Succinate ) is a prescription medicine. 
Take it as directed by your doctor. The dosage varies for different patients. 
The dose of this medicine ( Telmisartan & Metoprolol Succinate ) depends on the age of the patient, the weight of the patient, and the severity of the disease.
Always try to take this medicine ( Telmisartan & Metoprolol Succinate ) at fixed time.

And you may need to take this medicine (Telmisartan & Metoprolol Succinate) for a longer or lifetime. However, it is important to continue taking this medicine (Telmisartan & Metoprolol Succinate) even if you feel well or you have blood pressure control. 
If you stop taking this medicine (Telmisartan & Metoprolol Succinate), your condition may worsen. Or blood pressure may be higher. 
Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly (Telmisartan & Metoprolol Succinate) without consulting your doctor.

[ When pregnancy is detected telmisartan should be discontinued as soon as possible as it can cause injury and even death to the developing fetus when used in pregnancy during second and third trimester of pregnancy. ]

Metolar TL 25 Sideeffects :-

These sideeffects usually do not happen to everyone.
Some sideeffects such as -
Headache,
Weakness,
Dizziness,
Slow heart rate,
Increased potassium levels in blood, Decrease in bloodpressure
and there can be many other side effects as well as some side effects. Those that have not been mentioned. However, if you have any experience of any sideeffets and if they do not reduce then consult your doctor.

How Metolar TL 25 Works :-

This tablet contains a combination of the two drugs ( Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate extended release ).

Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker. Beta-blockers work by relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the heart rate. In this way, this medicine helps to reduce blood pressure and reduce chest pain.

Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker. It works by blocking the chemical angiotensin, which relaxes the blood vessels. It controls high bloodpressure.

Thus both these drugs (Telmisartan & Metoprolol Succinate) help in controlling and lowering blood pressure levels.
