3. Pulmofib Tablet Uses :-
Pulmofib Tablet is used for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in adult patients.
IPF ( Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis ) is a condition in which your lung tissue swells and burns over time as a result, making it difficult to breathe deeply and the lungs are hard to function properly. Pirfenidone helps reduce scars and inflammation in the lungs, and helps in better breathing.
4. Pulmofib Tablet Dosage :-
Pulmofib Tablet is prescribed by your doctor.
Pulmofib Tablet can be taken after food, as advised by your doctor.
Take Pulmofib Tablet at the same time daily for the ease of remembering.
Avoid crushing, breaking or chewing the Pulmofib Tablet.
However, it is important to continue taking Pulmofib Tablet even if you feel well. If you stop taking Pulmofib Tablet, your condition may worsen. Do not stop taking Pulmofib Tablet without consulting your doctor.
5. Pulmofib Tablet Sideeffects :-
Pulmofib Tablet side effects such as :
• Headache,
• Dizziness,
• Insomnia (difficulty sleeping),
• Loss of appetite,
• Weight loss,
• Upper respiratory tract infections,
• Sinus inflammation,
• Fatigue,
• Experiencing yellow or dark colored urine of the eyes or skin itchy skin, Feeling sick (nausea),
• Diarrhea,
• Indigestion or stomach upset,
• Bladder infection,
• Having difficulty sleeping,
• Shortness of breath cough,
• Muscle pain / joint pain,
• Sunburn,
There can be many other side effects as well as some side effects.
Those that have not been mentioned. However, if you have any experience of any sideeffets and if they do not reduce then consult your doctor.
6. How Dose Pulmofib Tablet Work :-
Pulmofib Tablet is a combination of : Pirfenidone.

Pirfenidone is an antifibrotic drug. Pirfenidone works by reducing fibrosis ( lungs) and inflammation in the lungs. So that it is easier to breathe and helps you breathe better.
Thus, Pulmofib Tablet is used for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in adult patients.
7. Precautions & Warnings :-
• Allergy :
Pulmofib Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Pirfenidone.
• Pregnancy :
Pulmofib Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Therefore, pregnant women should consult their doctor.
• Breast-feeding :
Use of Pulmofib Tablet during lactation is not recommended. Whether the constituent of Pirfenex Tablet passes into breast milk is yet unknown.
• Liver impairment :
Pulmofib Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver problem as Pulmofib Tablet may make your condition worse. Your doctor may suggest tests to closely monitor liver function, if necessary, during treatment with Pirfenex Tablet.
• Kidney impairment :
Pulmofib Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease as Pulmofib Tablet may make your condition worse. Your doctor may suggest tests to closely monitor kidney function, if necessary, during treatment with Pirfenex tablets.
• Angioedema :
Patients with angioedema should use Pulmofib Tablet with caution as it may lead to angioedema (a swollen condition under the skin). Use of Pulmofib Tablet is not recommended in a patient with a history of Angioedema as it may worsen your condition.
• Use in pediatrics :
Pulmofib Tablet are not recommended for use in children younger than 18 years of age.
• Alcohol :
The interaction of Pulmofib Tablet with alcohol is unknown. Before consuming alcohol it is advisable to consult your doctor whether it is advisable to consume alcohol while taking Pulmofib Tablet.
• Interaction with Medicine :
Some medicines like Fluvoxamine, Amiodarone, Propafenone, Ciprofloxacin and Enoxacin that may increase the side effects of Pulmofib Tablet.
Certain medications such as omeprazole (used in the treatment of conditions such as indigestion, gastro-oesophageal refluxis) and Rifampicin that may reduce the effects of Pulmofib Tablet.
• Sunlight :
Avoid exposure to sunlight while taking Pulmofib Tablet and do not take certain medications such as tetracycline and doxycycline as these may make them more sensitive to sunlight.
• Grapefruit juice :
• Do not drink grapefruit juice while taking Pulmofib Tablet.
• Smoking :
• People who smoke should stop smoking while taking Pulmofib Tablet. Because smoking reduces the effect of Pulmofib Tablet.
• Driving Vehicles and Operating Machines :
Pulmofib Tablet may cause drowsiness and dizziness in some people. If you experience symptoms of drowsiness and dizziness, avoid activities that require mental focus. Like driving a vehicle and operating heavy machinery.
