Glisen PM 1 Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Glisen PM 1 Tablet Composition :-

Glisen PM 1 Tablet combination of three oral antihyperglycemic drugs.
Glimepiride ....................................... 1 mg
Pioglitazone Hydrochloride
equivalent to Pioglitazone ........... 15 mg
Metformin Hydrochloride ......... 500 mg

Glisen PM 1 Tablet Uses :-

Glisen PM 1 Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine. Glisen PM 1 Tablet is used for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (non-insulin dependent) in adults patients.
Glisen PM 1 Tablet is used to help control high blood sugar levels in adult patients (over 18 years of age).
When diet, exercise, single combination drug or double combination drug are not effective in controlling blood glucose levels, So more than two combination drugs are used.

Glisen PM 1 Tablet Dosage :-

Glisen PM 1 Tablet is a prescription medicine.
- Glisen PM 1 Tablet should be taken as directed by a diabetic specialist.
- You can take Glisen PM 1 Tablet immediately after a meal to reduce the chances of stomach upset.
- Do not change the dosage or take 2 or more doses at the same time without consulting your doctor, and always try to take this medicine on a fixed schedule.

pioglitazone :
Whereas pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione which further enhances insulin sensitivity.

Precautions & Warnings :-

• • Taking Glisen PM 1 Tablet with other antidiabetic medicines, with alcohol, or if you delay or miss a meal may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level).

• If you take Glisen PM 1 Tablet with other antidiabetic medicines, or exercise more or with wine, medicine can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) if you delay or miss a meal. Therefore, one should always check the blood sugar level regularly. If you experience any symptoms of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level), eat something sweet or drink fruit juice.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol while using Glisen PM 1 Tablet. Blood sugar levels may decrease after drinking alcohol. Also, the possibility of lactic acidosis may increase.

• Can use of Glisen PM 1 tablet lead to Vitamin B12 deficiency?
Yes, Vitamin B12 deficiency is possible with the use of Glisen PM 1 Tablet because this medicine contains metformin. Which, on prolonged use, interferes with the absorption of vitamin B12 in the stomach.

• Can Glisen PM 1 cause hypoglycemia?
Yes, Use of Glisen PM 1 Tablet can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level). Symptoms of hypoglycemia include nausea, headache, irritability, hunger, sweating, dizziness, fast heart rate and tremors.
