Budecort CR Capsule is a steroid medicine, and it is prescribed for the treatment of moderate to severe ulcerative colitis.

This capsule contains -


Budesonide ............................. 3mg


Budesonide is a corticosteroid medicine.

Budecort CR Capsule Uses :-

It is used to treat moderate to severe ulcerative colitis (which causes inflammation of the digestive tract).

Budecort CR Capsule Dosage :-

This medicine is a prescription medicine & take it as directed by your doctor.

This capsule ( Budesonide ) can be taken with or without food. And your doctor will decide the dosage, how often you have to take it, so keep taking it until you finish the dose.

Take the dosage of this medicine for the duration as advised by the doctor. Swallow this capsule whole. Do not chew, crush or break capsule ( Budesonide ).

Always try to take this medicine on regular schedule and complete the course of medicine.

Budecort CR Capsule Sideeffects :-

The most common side effects of -

Infection,

Dizziness,

Muscle and joint pain,

Skin reactions,

Indigestion, 

Irritable stomach (dyspepsia),

Abdominal pain,

Changes in behavior such as depression, euphoria, restlessness, irritability, anxiety or aggression, as well as other side effects you may experience, contact your doctor if you are concerned about side effects.

There can be many other side effects as well as some side effects. 

Those that have not been mentioned. However, if you have any experience of any sideeffets and if they do not reduce then consult your doctor.

Drug Interaction :-

If you are taking any other medicine -

Some medicines used to treat the heart such as, digoxin.

Some diuretics medicine.

Fungal infections medicine such as ketoconazole or itraconazole.

Antibiotics such as clarithromycin,

Epilepsy drugs such as, carbamazepine.

Tuberculosis medicine such as rifampicin.

Oral contraceptives or estrogens.

Medicines used to stop the production of acid in the stomach such as cimetidine.

Warnings & Precautions :-

Before taking this medicine ( Budesonide ), tell your doctor that,

If you have diabetes, or high blood pressure.

There is osteoporosis.

Have liver problems.

Peptic ulcer is in the first part of the stomach or small intestine.

Increased pressure in the eye is caused by glaucoma or eye problems such as glaucoma.

These capsules are not useful in patients with Crohn's disease affecting the upper gastrointestinal tract.

Tell your doctor if you have an infection.
