How Does Atorlip CV Capsule ( Atorvastatin & clopidogrel
) Work :-
Atorlip CV Capsule is a combination of two drugs: Atorvastatin & clopidogrel.
Atorvastatin
Atorvastatin is a lipid lowering drug (statin), It works by inhibiting the action of an enzyme HMG-CoA reductase (which is essential in the manufacture of cholesterol). Helps to reduce the level of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) or bad cholesterol and increase the level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) or good cholesterol in the blood. Thus it slows down the production of cholesterol in the body and reduces the amount of cholesterol that builds up on the walls of the arteries.
Clopidogrel
Clopidogrel is a blood thinner or antiplatelet drug, which prevents platelets from sticking together. Due to which there is less formation of harmful blood clots, and the chances of heart attack or stroke are reduced.
Thus these combination medicines ( Atorvastatin & clopidogrel ) help to reduce increased cholesterol and blood thinners, to reduce the chances of chest pain, future heart attack, and other heart problems.
