Pecef 100 Tablet is a type of antibiotic medicine. It helps fight bacterial infections of various parts of the body such as ears, nose, throat, sinus, airways, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues and teeth.
Pecef 100 Tablet helps prevent bacterial infections of the child's body.
Pecef 100 Tablet will not work in children for infections caused by viruses, including the common cold and flu.

Dosage or duration of Pecef 100 Tablet is given according to the age of the children or the symptoms of bacterial infection. Pecef 100 Tablet dosage may vary for each children.
Pecef 100 Tablet should be given exactly as per doctor's advice. Pecef 100 Tablet should be given after meals as the chances of stomach upset are lesser.
One should complete the course of Pecef 100 Tablet even if feel better as it is an antibiotic medicine which makes feel better within few days, and skipping it in between can lead to re-infection. Cefpodoxime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis (which is essential for the survival of bacteria). Cefpodoxime helps treat and prevent the spread of bacterial infections by stopping the formation of bacterial cells.
