Abvida SR 100 tablet is an antidiabetic drugs, used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age. Abvida SR 100 tablet is also used in combination with other diabetes medicines. Abvida SR 100 tablet can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs.
When Abvida SR 100 tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar.
Abvida SR 100 Tablet Dosage :-
Abvida SR 100 tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Abvida SR 100 tablet as directed by your doctor. Use Abvida SR 100 tablet exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor. Abvida SR 100 tablet should be taken immediately before or with a meal. Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. And always try to take Abvida SR 100 tablet on regular schedule. Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control. Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking Abvida SR 100 tablet without asking your doctor. Vildagliptin works by increasing the amount of insulin produced by our body. It also decreases the amount of glucagon produced by the pancreas. Glucagon causes your liver to produce more sugar, so by reducing the amount of glucagon in your body, it also helps lower your blood sugar levels. Vildagliptin lowers the amount of glucose in the blood.
Thus Abvida SR 100 tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.
