Glimisave 3 tablet is prescribed for the treatment of symptoms of type 2 diabetes mellitus.


Glimisave 3 Tablet Composition :-


Glimisave 3 tablet contains :

Glimepiride. ....................................... 3 mg

Glimepiride belongs to the class of antidiabetic drugs called a sulfonylureas.


Glimisave 3 Tablet Uses :-


Glimisave 3 Tablet is used in the treatment of symptoms of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Glimisave 3 tablet can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs.

Glimisave 3 Tablet helps to control blood sugar level and prevents serious complications of diabetes.

By lowering or controlling blood sugar levels in this way, you can reduce your risk of serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, nerve problems, eye damage and loss of organs.

When Glimisave 3 Tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar.


Glimisave 3 Tablet Dosage :-

Glimisave 3 Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Glimisave 3 Tablet as directed by your doctor. Use Glimisave 3 Tablet exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor.

Take Glimisave 3 tablet usually shortly before a main meal (usually breakfast).Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice. Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time.
Always try to take Glimisave 3 Tablet on regular schedule. Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control. Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking Glimisave 3 Tablet without asking your doctor. Because the treatment of diabetes is lifelong.


How Does Glimisave 3 Tablet Work :-


Glimisave 3 tablet contains : Glimepiride.

Glimepiride :

Glimepiride belongs to the class of antidiabetic drugs called a sulfonylureas.

Glimepiride works to lower the blood sugar level by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas.

Thus Glimisave 3 tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.

Precautions :-


• Before taking Glimisave 3 tablet, tell your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease, heart disease, thyroid disease, pregnant or lactating women. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should also consult their doctor before taking Glimisave 3 tablet.

• Glimisave 3 tablet as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Glimisave 3 tablet is not used to treat type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis (high levels of acid in your blood).

• Whether Glimisave 3 tablet is safe and effective for children. it is not known.

• If you stop taking Glimisave 3 tablet without consulting your doctor, your blood sugar level may rise, putting you at risk for complications of diabetes such as blindness, kidney damage, nerve problems, and loss of organs.

• Drinking alcohol while taking Glimisave 3 tablet may increase the risk of low blood sugar levels and hence consumption of alcohol should be avoided while taking Glimisave 3 tablet.

• Some people may experience an increase in weight from Glimisave 3 tablet.

• If you miss a meal, do not take a dose of Glimisave 3 tablet.

• Glimisave 3 tablet helps to control high blood sugar levels and avoid complications from diabetes.

• Take Glimisave 3 tablet usually shortly before a main meal (usually breakfast).

• Exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines (if prescribed) at the same time.

• Be careful while driving or operating machinery after taking Glimisave 3 tablet until you know how Amaryl affects you.

• Glimisave 3 tablet can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) if you take Glimisave 3 tablet with alcohol, other antidiabetic medicines, or if you delay or miss a meal.

• If you experience hypoglycemic symptoms, try some sugary food or fruit juice.

• Tell your doctor if you experience stomach pain, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice).

• It is usually taken once a day. You should keep taking it for as long as it has been prescribed. Doctor may regularly check your liver function.

• Your doctor may also recommend blood tests to monitor your blood cell count and liver function.

• Your blood sugar level should be checked regularly. Monitor your blood sugar levels from time to time regularly while you are taking this medicine.
