Comantrel T tablet is prescribed for the treatment of the symptoms of Parkinson's disease.

Comantrel T Tablet Composition :-

Comantrel T tablet contains -
Amantadine ..................... 100mg
Amantadine is a dopamine agonist.

Comantrel T Tablet Uses :-

Comantrel T tablet is is used alone, or this can be used with other medicines to treat Parkinson’s disease. Comantrel T tablet can also be used to treat movement side effects caused by specific  drugs (drug-induced movement disorder).

Comantrel T Tablet Dosage :-

Comantrel T tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Dosage of Comantrel T tablet you will be prescribed will depend on your health condition.
Take Comantrel T tablet in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor.
Comantrel T tablet can also be taken with or without food. However, person should take Comantrel T tablet at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent amount of medicine in the body.
If you have not taken a dose at time then take it as soon as you remember it. Even if you feel better you should not stop taking Comantrel T tablet you should complete the course. It is important to complete Comantrel T tablet if you stop suddenly without informing to your doctor then  Comantrel T tablet may put you at a higher risk of having a  seizures, so it is better to inform to your doctor if you have any past history of seizures or taking medication for it.

How Dose Comantrel T Tablet Work :-

Comantrel T tablet is a contains of : Amantadine.
Amantadine -
Amantadine is a dopamine agonist .Amantadine is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Amantadine works by increasing the level of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain which regulates body movements. Amantadine also has an antiviral property. It works against viruses to prevent their growth and multiplication. Amantadine also appears to restricts the viruses to release infectious chemicals (viral nucleic acid) to enter into the body. Therefore it prevents and treats Influenza infection.

Comantrel T Tablet Sideeffects :-

Like all medicines, Comantrel T tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
Some common side effects like -
Dizziness,
Constipation,
Dryness in mouth,
Blurred vision,
Nausea,
Insomnia,
Hallucination,
Orthostatic hypotension,
Balance disorder,
Peripheral edema.
At first it may cause dizziness and lowering of blood pressure while you are standing, so rise slowly and do not drive or do anything that required or need any mental focus until you know how this medicine will affects you.

Precautions :-

• Comantrel T Tablet may be not safe to use while you are pregnant.  In spite of the fact there are limited studies in humans and  animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the profit and any possible risks before prescribing  it to you. Please inform your doctor.
• Comantrel T Tablet is mostly not safe  to use during breastfeeding. Some human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and can affect the baby.
• Comantrel T Tablet should be used with awereness in patients having kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Comantrel T Tablet may be required . Please consult or inform your doctor. Use of Comantrel T Tablet is not suggested for patients having severe kidney disease.
• Comantrel T Tablet should be used with  awareness in patients having liver disease. Dose adjustment of Comantrel T Tablet may be required. Please consult or inform your doctor. This may cause a transient increase in liver enzymes.
• Comantrel T Tablet can be taken with food or without food.
• This is not safe to consume alcohol with Comantrel T Tablet.
• Comantrel T Tablet can cause side effects which could affect your potential to drive.
• This can cause fade vision or affect mental ability. You should not drive or do any other work that required concentration until you know how it  will affects you.
• If you are feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
•You should not take extra medicine to complete up the dose you missed.
•This may put you at a higher risk of having seizures. Talk or inform to your doctor if you have a past history of seizures or are taking any  medication for it.
• consult your doctor if you observe an urge to gamble, increased sexual urges, binge eating, or uncontrolled spending.
• Do not stop taking the Comantrel T tablet  immediately without talking  or informing to your doctor.
