Molnaflu 200 capsule is an antiviral medicines. Molnaflu 200 capsule is used for the treatment of mild to moderate coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in adults.
Molnaflu 200 Capsule Dosage :-
Molnaflu 200 capsule should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Molnaflu 200 capsule can be taken with or without food. The recommended dose of Molnaflu 200 capsules is 800 mg (four 200 mg capsules) given orally every 12 hours for 5 days.
Molnaflu 200 capsules should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of fluid (eg, a glass of water). Molnaflu 200 Capsule should not be crushed, opened or chewed.
How Dose Molnaflu 200 Capsule Work :-
Molnaflu 200 capsule contains : Molanupiravir.
Molanupiravir :
Molanupiravir is an aantivira drugs.
Molanupiravir is a prodrug. Molanupiravir is metabolized to the ribonucleoside analog N-hydroxycytidine (NHC) from where it is distributed into cells where it is phosphorylated to form the pharmacologically active ribonucleoside triphosphate (NHC-TP). NHC-TP works by a mechanism known as viral error catastrophe. Incorporation of NHC-TP into viral RNA by viral RNA polymerase inhibits replication resulting in an accumulation of errors in the viral genome.
Molnaflu 200 Capsule Sideeffects :-
Like all medicines, Molnaflu 200 capsule can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
Some common side effects like -
Diarrhea
Nausea
Dizziness
Headache and there can be many other side effects as well as some side effects. Those that have not been mentioned. However, if you have any experience of any sideeffets and if they do not reduce then consult your doctor.
Precautions :-
• The safety and efficacy of Molnaflu 200 capsules when administered for a period exceeding 5 days have not been established.
• Safety and efficacy of Molnaflu 200 capsule in patients below the age of 18 years have not been established.
• Molnaflu 200 capsule should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of fluid (eg, a glass of water). Molnaflu 200 capsule should not be crushed, opened or chewed.
• Molnaflu 200 capsule is not recommended for use during pregnancy. There is no data available on the use of Molnaflu 200 capsule in pregnant women. Studies in animals have shown reproductive toxicity.
• Molnaflu 200 capsule may affect the breastfed infant. It is unknown whether any components of Molnaflu 200 capsules are present in human milk, affect human milk production, or have an effect on the breastfed infant. Because animal lactation studies have not been conducted with molnupiravir. It is not recommended to breastfeed for 4 days after the last dose of Molnaflu 200 capsule.
