Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonist.Semaglutide is an antidiabetic medicines. Semaglutide is used for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients.
Semaglutide Dosage :-
Semaglutide should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.Take Semaglutide in the morning on an empty stomach about 30 minutes before breakfast or as advised by the physician.
Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor.
Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time.
Always try to take Semaglutide on regular schedule. Always take Semaglutide even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control. Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking Semaglutide without asking your doctor. Because the treatment of diabetes is lifelong.
Semaglutide Mechanisms of Action :-
Semaglutide :Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide -1 analog. glucagon-like peptide-1 is a physiological hormone. As a GLP-1 receptor agonist that selectively binds to and activates the target of the GLP-1 receptor. Semaglutide stimulates the insulin secretion by lowering the blood glucose through a mechanism.
Semaglutide Sideeffects :-
Like all medicines, Semaglutide can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.Some common side effects like -
Nausea,
Stomach ache,
Diarrhea,
Loss of appetite,
Vomit,
Constipation and there can be many other side effects as well as some side effects. Those that have not been mentioned. However, if you have any experience of any sideeffets and if they do not reduce then consult your doctor.
Some Precaution :-
• Semaglutide tablet is not recommended as a first choice for the treatment of diabetes.• It is not known whether Semaglutide tablet is used for pancreatitis in people who have had pancreatitis.
• Semaglutide tablet is not for use in people with type 1 diabetes.
• Whether Semaglutide tablet use is safe and effective for children under the age of 18 is not yet known.
• Stop using Semaglutide tablet if you have inflammation of your pancreas (pancreatitis) and tell your doctor right away if you have severe abdominal pain that does not go away with or without vomiting.
• Tell your doctor if you experience changes in vision during treatment with Semaglutide.
• If you use Semaglutide tablet with any other medicine that causes Semaglutide low blood sugar, such as a sulfonylurea or insulin addict.
• In people who have kidney problems, there may be a loss of fluid (dehydration) due to diarrhoea, vomiting and nausea, which can make kidney problems worse. It is important to drink fluids to help avoid the problem of dehydration.
• If you have symptoms including severe allergic reactions such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, stop using Semaglutide tablet and consult your medical practitioner.
• In women who are planning to become pregnant or are pregnant, it is not known whether Semaglutide tablet can harm an unborn baby. Women planning to become pregnant should stop using Semaglutide tablet 2 months before. And talk to your doctor about the best way to control your blood sugar.
• Breastfeeding women or women planning to breastfeed are not recommended to breastfeed during treatment with Semaglutide tablet.
• If you have or have had problems with the pancreas or kidneys. Tell your doctor before using Semaglutide tablet.
If you have vision problems related to diabetes. Tell your doctor before using Semaglutide tablet.
Important Safety Information :-
• Semaglutide tablet can cause serious side effects in people with possible thyroid tumors, including cancer. Tell your doctor if you have trouble swallowing, a lump or swelling in the neck, hoarseness, or trouble breathing.
• If you or your family has ever had MTC, or you have an endocrine system condition called multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). So do not use Semaglutide tablet.
