Zoterb tablet is prescribed for the treatment of fungal infections.

Zoterb Tablet Composition :-
Zoterb tablet contains :
Terbinafine .............................. 250mg
Terbinafine is an antifungal drugs.

Zoterb Tablet Uses :-
Zoterb tablet is an antifungal medicines. Zoterb tablet is used to treat fungal infections such as athlete's foot (itchy, scaly, and white patches between the toes), jock itch (reddish, itchy, and ring-shaped rash in the groin), ringworm ( Red, itchy, and circular-shaped rashes along the skin, scalp, or in between the nails), and nail infections.

Zoterb Tablet Dosage :-
Zoterb tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage and duration of Zoterb tablet would depend on the severity of the treatment depending on the condition. Zoterb tablet can be taken with or without food. Zoterb tablet complete the course of treatment, even if you feel better after a few doses or after a few days. If you stop taking Zoterb tablet too early without completing a course, the infection may reappear, and be difficult to treat.

How Does Zoterb Tablet Work :-
Zoterb Tablet contains : Terbinafine.
Terbinafine :
Terbinafine is an antifungal drugs.
Terbinafine works by stopping the production of a chemical called ergosterol, which works by damaging and killing the cell membrane (protective covering) of the fungus. Thus, Terbinafine prevents the spread of the fungal infection.
This is how Zoterb tablet treats fungal infections.

Zoterb Tablet Sideeffects :-
Like all medicines, Zoterb tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
Some common side effects like -
Nausea,
Vomiting,
Skin rash,
Headache,
Loss of appetite and there can be many other side effects as well as some side effects. Those that have not been mentioned. However, if you have any experience of any sideeffets and if they do not reduce then consult your doctor.

Precautions :-
• Avoid if you are allergic to Zoterb tablet.
Avoid if you are allergic to Zoterb tablet if you have a skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of your face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathlessness. If symptoms like difficulty in taking etc. appear, then inform the doctor immediately.
• If you have liver problems. Zoterb tablet may worsen liver conditions. Should be used with caution. Your doctor may monitor your liver function regularly during your treatment with Zoterb tablet. Tell your doctor if you have pale skin or eyes, dark urine, or stomach pain.
• Zoterb tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless required. Therefore, consult your doctor if you are pregnant.
• Zoterb tablet is not recommended for use during lactation as it passes into breast milk. Therefore, consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
• Zoterb tablet may cause serious skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome (skin condition that causes rashes and blisters), toxic epidermal necrolysis (skin condition that causes blistering and peeling of the skin), Etcetera. Consult your doctor if you experience a skin rash that persists or gets worse.
• Zoterb tablet can cause a decrease in the number of blood cells. Zoterb tablet should be used with caution if you have low blood cell counts. During Zoterb tablet treatment your doctor may suggest regular blood tests to monitor your blood cell count.
• Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy while on treatment with Zoterb tablet. 
• Zoterb tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. 
• The interaction of Zoterb tablet with alcohol is unknown. It is advisable to consult your doctor before consuming alcohol.
• Zoterb tablet can interact with other drugs to cause unwanted effects So, if you are taking any other medicine then tell your doctor. pimozide, leflunomide, codeine, doxepin, clozapine  carvedilol, duloxetine & dextromethorphan etc.
• Zoterb tablet should be used with caution if you have depression. Because Zoterb tablet can cause depression in some cases. Therefore, if you experience depressive symptoms, contact your doctor immediately.
• Neutropenia refers to low levels of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell that help the body fight infection) in your blood. If you have neutropenia, Zoterb tablet may cause neutropenia in some cases. Hence,Zoterb tablet should be used with caution. Your doctor may suggest regular blood tests to monitor blood counts during treatment with Zoterb tablet.
