Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet combination of two oral antidiabetic drugs :
Linagliptin .......................................... 2.5 mg
Metformin Hydrochloride ............. 1000 mg
Linagliptin is in a class of medications known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors.
Metformin hydrochloride is an antidiabetic medicine belonging to a class of drugs called biguanide.

Linanext M 2.5/1000 Tablet Uses :-
Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet used for the symptoms of high blood sugar levels for people with have type 2 diabetes mellitus. This helps in preventing serious difficulties of diabetes like a kidney damage and blindness and can lower your chance of having a heart attack or stroke.
Linanext M 2.5/1000 Tablet Dosage :-
Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet be Swallow whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet is to be taken with food.
Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet at the same time every day you take. You should follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and tell your doctor to explain any part that you do not understand. Do not take more or less of it or take it more frequently than recommend by your doctor.

How Dose Linanext M 2.5/1000 Tablet Work :-
Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet combination of two antidiabetic drugs : Linagliptin & Metformin Hydrochloride.
Linagliptin :
Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. Linagliptin, a hormone that raises blood sugar levels and insulin from the pancreas It works by increasing the release of insulin (insulin that helps control blood sugar levels). Which helps in reducing the level of blood sugar. Linagliptin also increases the activity of glucagon-like peptide-1, which regulates blood sugar levels.
Metformin Hydrochloride :
Metformin hydrochloride is an antidiabetic drugs belonging to a class of drugs called biguanide. Metformin delays the absorption of glucose from the intestines, by reducing the production of glucose in the liver. And thus metformin works by increasing the sensitivity of the body to insulin.
Thus Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.
Linanext M 2.5/1000 Tablet Sideeffects :-
Like all medicines, Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
Some common side effects like :
• Nasopharyngitis,
• Diarrhea,
• Nausea,
• Vomiting,
• Upset stomach,
• Headache,
Low blood sugar level (hypoglycemia) is a possible side effect if you are also taking other diabetes medicines such as insulin, glimepiride, or sulphonylurea. So you need to know how to perceive and deal with it.
However, if you have any experience of any sideeffets and if they do not reduce then consult your doctor.

• Tell your doctor about your diabetes treatment if you are due to have any surgery under a general anesthetic.
• Tell your doctor immediately if you undergo any deep or rapid breathing, nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain as Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet cab cause a rare but serious condition known as lactic acidosis, which is an excess of lactic acid in the blood.

• It is unsafe to drink alcohol with Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet.
• Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet is normally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no bad effects to the developing baby however, there are limited human studies.
• Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet is probably safe to use if you are breastfeeding. Some human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
• Your ability to drive can be affected if your blood sugar is very low or very high. Do not drive if these symptoms take place.
• Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet should be used with caution in patients who is having kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet may be required. Please talk to your doctor.
• Use of Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet is, not suggested in patients with critical kidney disease. Daily monitoring of kidney function test is advised while you are taking Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet.
• Patients with liver disease Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet should be used with caution. Dose adjustment of Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet can be required. Please talk to your doctor.
Precautions :-
• Before taking Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet,
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to linamac tablet, any other medications, or any of the ingredients in Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet.
• Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet is not suitable for everyone. Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you ever had kidney, liver, or heart disease, problems with your pancreas, or if you drink alcohol a lot.
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also ask their doctor before taking Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet.
• Some other medicines can affect the working of this medicine, so tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking to make sure that you are safe.
• You should try to avoid drinking alcohol as it reduces blood sugar.
• Your doctor will check your kidney function and blood sugar levels before and during treatment.
• Special dietary instructions to be followed : You should surely follow all diet and exercise suggested by your doctor or dietician. It is important to eat a healthy diet, exercise daily, and lose weight if necessary. This will help to manage your diabetes and help Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet work more succesfully.
• You have to take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your daily dosing schedule. You should not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
• Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had pancreatitis or high triglycerides (a fatty substance in the blood), or if you drink or have ever drunk large amounts of alcohol.
• Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planing to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. If you become pregnant while taking Linanext M 2.5/1000 tablet, talk to your doctor.
