Ciplox 750 tablet is prescribed for the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia).

Ciplox 750 tablet contains :Ciprofloxacin ..................... 750 mg
Ciprofloxacin is an antibacterial agent of the fluoroquinolone class.
3. Dosage forms & Strength :-
Ciplox 750 mg tablet for oral administration only.
4. Ciplox 750 Tablet Uses :-
Ciplox 750 tablet is an antibiotic. Ciplox 750 tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections of skin, joints, lungs, urinary tract, nose, throat, skin, soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia).
Ciplox 750 tablet prevents the infection by harming and stopping the growth of the infectious microorganisms.
Ciplox 750 tablet is specify for the treatment of the following infections which is caused by susceptible bacteria.
• Respiratory Tract Infections :
Acute bronchitis, exacerbation of chronic obstructive airways disease, empyema, lung abscess, infected bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis and pneumonia.
• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) :
Acute and chronic pyelonephritis, prostatitis, cystitis, epididymitis and chronic complicated or recurrent UTI which is caused by multi-resistant organisms and/or Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: In surgical and post-operative wound infections, because if gram-negative organisms like Enterobacteriaceae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Also, useful in infections which is caused by resistant staphylococci.
• Surgical Infections :
Peritonitis, intra-abdominal abscess, cholangitis, cholecystitis, empyema of gall bladder.
• Bone and Joint infections :
Since ciprofloxacin achieves adequate tissue concentrations in bone, it is useful in the controlling of acute and chronic osteomyelitis.
• Gynecological Infections :
Critical pelvic infections which is caused by susceptible bacteria
Sexually Transmitted Diseases: Gonorrhea, including that caused y-beta-lactamase-producing strains. Chancroid caused by Haemophilus ducreyi.
• Gastrointestinal Infections :
Helpfull in the treatment of typhoid and can also eradicate carrier stage. Useful in resistant Salmonella typhi infections.
• Critical Systemic Infections :
Septicemia and bacteremia infections in immunocompromised patients.
5. Ciplox 750 Tablet Dosage :-
Ciplox 750 tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Ciplox 750 tablet can be taken with food or without food. Take Ciplox 750 tablet around the same time daily.
Take Ciplox 750 tablet one-two hours before or after taking antacids as they higher the time taken by this medicine to show its effect.
Take Ciplox 750 tablet two hours before/after taking everyday products as they can affect its absorption and reduced its beneficial effects.
6. Ciplox 750 Tablet Sideeffects :-
Ciplox 750 tablet some side effects such as :
• Diarrhoea,
• Stomach pain,
• Headache,
• Weakness,
• Nausea,
• Vomiting,
Most of these side effects are not significant sufficient and resolve with time. If any of these side effects continue or worsen, tell your doctor at the earliest.
7. How Dose Ciplox 750 Tablet Work :-
Ciplox 750 tablet is an antibiotic medicine that consist of ciprofloxacin.
Ciprofloxacin :
Ciprofloxacin works by inhibiting the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. Ciprofloxacin stops bacterial cells from dividing, causing them to die.
Thus, Ciplox 750 tablet kills or cures the growth of the bacteria that cause the infection and treat the bacterial infections.
8. Precautions & Warnings :-
• Avoid taking Ciplox 750 tablet if you are previously allergic to ciprofloxacin. Main allergic reactions to this medicine are rare. Take immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), critical dizziness, breathing difficulties, etc.
• Ciplox 750 tablet must be used to treat bacterial infections only. Ciplox 750 tablet is not helpful against infections caused by viruses.
• Tendonitis or Tendon Rupture :
Ciplox 750 tablet can give rise to muscle damage mostly in old age. Avoid using Ciplox 750 tablet if you have tendonitis (swelling of fibres that attach bone with muscles) or tendon rupture (a partial or complete tear of the tendon- the tissue that associates muscle to bone).
• Myasthenia Gravis :
Myasthenia gravis is a skeletal muscle condition characterized by critical weakness of any of the muscles under your voluntary control, including the arms and legs. Ciplox 750 tabletp should be ignored if you have such a problem because it can worsen your condition.
• Pregnancy :
Ciplox 750 tablet is not prescribed during pregnancy because of the risk of adverse effects on developing joints of your foetus. Take Ciplox 750 MG Tablet only upon your doctor's siggestion.
• Breast-feeding:
Using Ciplox 750 tablet is not known to be harmful in breastfeeding. It passes into breast milk in tiny amounts. Although, if you are breastfeeding, ask your doctor before taking this medicine.
• Muscle Damage :
Ciplox 750 tablet can give rise to muscle damage commonly on the tendons that surround your ankles. Tell your doctor if you feel pain, numbness, or tingling sensations in your muscles.
• Antibiotic Resistance :
Complete your full course of treatment with Ciplox 750 tablet, even if the condition gets best, to avoid antibiotic resistance (a condition where the bacteria become resistant to antibiotics). If you still not felling well after completing your antibiotic course, talk to your doctor.
• Diarrhoea :
Ciplox 750 tablet can give rise to diarrhoea because it can also harm the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine. Get emergency medical help if you undergo critical diarrhoea that is watery or bloody. Ask your pharmacist/doctor before taking anti-diarrhoeal medication.
• Driving or Operating Machinery :
Ciplox 750 tablet cab give rise to dizziness, confusion, or disorientation. So, do not do activities like driving vehicles or operating machines if you undergo any of these symptoms.
• Kidney Diseases :
Use Ciplox 750 tablet with very caution if you have kidney problems because of the risk of kidney damage. Your doctor can manage the dose of this medicine based on your condition.
Other Medicines :
Tell your doctor about the use of all your other medications before starting treatment with Ciplox 750 tablet. Stop using Tizanidine (a muscle relaxant medicine) and caffeine-containing products while taking Ciplox 750 tablet as they can interact with this medicine.
• Antacids:
If you are taking an antacid which contain aluminium and magnesium salts for indigestion, it can grow the time it takes for Ciplox 750 tablet to show its effects. It is suggested to take Ciplox 750 tablet at least one hour before or two hours after taking antacids.
• Ciplox 750 tablet interaction with medicine such as Escitalopram, Tramadol, Ethinyl Estradiol, Corticosteroids, Quinidine, Aspirin and Metformin etc.
• Disease Interactions -
Central Nervous System Disorders :
Use Ciplox 750 tablet with caution if you have conditions such as seizures, depression, or psychotic conditions. Ciplox 750 tablet can activate or worsen these conditions.
• Gastrointestinal Diseases :
Use Ciplox 750 tablet with very caution if you have gastrointestinal diseases, mostly colitis (swelling of the inner lining of the colon), since it can worsen your condition.
• QT Prolongation :
Ciplox 750 tablet cab give rise to heart rhythm problems known as prolonged QT intervals (an electrical heartbeat disturbance) if you are taking medications for heart conditions. It can result in fast, rapid, and irregular heartbeats.
• Food Interactions :
Taking caffeine along with Ciplox 750 tablet can get sleeplessness, nervousness, and anxiety. Stop coffee or medicines which contain caffeine while taking Ciplox 750 tablet.
• Ciplox 750 tablet will not show its desired effects if you take it with dairy products like milk and milk products. Manage a gap of at least two hours between Ciplox 750 tablet and dairy products.
You should not use Ciplox 750 tablet along with multivitamins with minerals. If required it is recommended to take this medicine before four hours or after six hours of taking multivitamins with minerals.
• General Instructions :
Ciplox 750 tablet uses is proven to be more effective in treating bacterial infections. Take Ciplox 750 tablet with or without food as ordered by your doctor. Never take more than the recommended dose. Take Ciplox 750 tablet at around the same time everyday. Avoid chewing or crushing the tablet in your mouth. You must not give your medicine to other people even if their condition seems to be the same as yours. Antacids can grow the time takes for Ciplox 750 tablet to act, so it is prescribed to take this antibiotic at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking antacids. You must take Ciplox 750 tablet 2 hours before any dairy products as they can affect its absorption.
