Dapagold M 10/1000 tablet is a used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.
When diet, exercise, single combination drug are not effective in controlling blood glucose levels, then combination drugs are used.
When Dapagold M 10/1000 tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar.

Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitors, a class of antihyperglycemic agents.
Dapagliflozin works by blocking a protein in the kidney Which is called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2). SGLT2 is a protein Which absorbs glucose from the urine into the blood flow as it is filtered into the blood kidney.
By blocking the action of SGLT2, dapagliflozin causes the removal of excess glucose through urine, which reduces the level of glucose in the blood.
Metformin Hydrochloride :
Metformin hydrochloride is an antidiabetic drugs belonging to a class of drugs called biguanide. Metformin delays the absorption of glucose from the intestines, by reducing the production of glucose in the liver. And thus metformin works by increasing the sensitivity of the body to insulin.
Thus Dapagold M 10/1000 tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.

Before taking Dapagold M 10/1000 tablet, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or an infection in the urinary tract or if you are taking (diuretic) pills.
Dapagold M 10/1000 tablet is not intended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
Pregnant or lactating women should also consult their doctor before taking Dapagold M 10/1000 tablet.
Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking it as it may increase the risk of some sideeffects.
Continue to take Dapagold M 10/1000 tablet regularly - treatment for diabetes is lifelong.
