Fintop Cream is prescribed for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin such as athlete's foot ( tinea pedis ), jock itch ( tinea cruris ) and ringworm infections ( tinea corporis ) and fungal infection of the skin.
1. Fintop Cream Composition :-
Fintop Cream contains :
Butenafine Hydrochloride ..................... 1 % w/w
Butenafine is a antifungal drugs.

Fintop 1 % Cream for external skin use only.
3. Fintop Cream Uses :-
Fintop Cream is an antifungal medicine. Fintop Cream is essential for the  topical treatment of the following dermatologic infections: tinea (pityriasis) versicolor due to M. furfur (formerly P. orbiculare), interdigital tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea corporis (ringworm) and tinea cruris (jock itch) due to E. floccosum, T. mentagrophytes, T. rubrum, and T. tonsurans. Fintop Cream was not studied in immunocompromised patients.

Tinea Versicolor:
Fintop Cream is use in the treatment of fungal infection of the skin.
Tinea Pedis:
Fintop Cream is use in the treatment of fungal skin infections of the feet.
Tinea Corporis:
Fintop Cream is use to treat fungal skin infections of the arms and legs.
Tinea Cruris:
Fintop Cream is use to treat the fungal infections of the skin around the inner thighs, genitals, and buttocks.
4. Fintop Cream Dosage :-
Fintop cream is prescribed by your doctor.
Fintop cream for external use only.
Dry the affected area completely before application, if you wish to apply Fintop Cream after bathing.
Patients with tinea (pityriasis) versicolor must apply Fintop Cream one time daily for two weeks. In the treatment of the interdigital tinea pedis, Fintop Cream must be applied two time daily for 7 days OR one time daily for 4 weeks.
Patients with tinea corporis or tinea cruris must apply Fintop Cream once daily for two weeks.

Sufficient Fintop Cream Cream must be applied to cover affected areas and right away surrounding skin of patients with tinea versicolor, interdigital tinea pedis, tinea corporis, and tinea cruris. If a patient shows no clinical betterment after the treatment period, the diagnosis and therapy should be reviewed.
Finish the full course of treatment even if your symptoms starts to clear up after a few days.

5. Fintop Cream Sideeffects :-
Fintop cream side effects such as :
• Burning or stinging sensation,
• Skin irritation,
• Redness of skin,
• Itching,
Most of these side effects are short term and get resolved with time. Although, if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get poor, take a doctor's consultation as soon as possible.

6. How Dose Fintop Cream Work :-
Fintop cream is an antifungal medicine that consist of butenafine.
Butenafine works by stopping the production of a certain vital component for the fungal cell wall that results in the death of the fungi.
Thus, Fintop cream treat fungal infections of the skin.

7. Precautions & Warnings :-
 Fintop Cream is not prescribed for use in patients with a allergy to Fintop Cream or any other ingredients present along with it.
• Fintop Cream is not for ophthalmic, oral, or intravaginal use. Fintop cream for external use only.
• Fintop Cream is for external use only. If irritation or sensitivity develops with the use of Fintop Cream treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted. Diagnosis of the disease should be confirmed either by culture on an proper medium, [except M. furfur (formerly P. orbiculare)] or by direct microscopic examination of infected superficial epidermal tissue in a solution of potassium hydroxide.
• Pregnancy :
Fintop Cream is suggested for use in pregnant women only if required. Have a conversation about all the risks and benefits with your doctor before using this medicine.
• Breast-feeding :
Fintop Cream is safe for use in breastfeeding women. Although, all the risks and benefits must be discussed with the doctor before using Fintop Cream.
• Pediatrics :
The safety and efficacy of Fintop Cream (butenafine) have not been clinically established in patients younger than 12 years of age.
• Fintop Cream is suggested for external use only. Do not put it on nails, scalp, near the mouth, eyes, or for vaginal yeast infections.
• Use Fintop Cream as directed by the physician. Wash your hand after applying the medication to the affected area. Ignore contact with the eyes, nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes. Fintop Cream is for external use only.
• Dry the affected area completely before application, if you wish to apply Fintop Cream after bathing.
• Continue use Fintop Cream for the full treatment time recommended by the physician, even though symptoms has been improved. Inform the physician if there is no improvement after the end of the recommended treatment period, or sooner, if the condition worsens.
• Consult the physician if the area of application shows signs of increased irritation, redness, itching, burning, blistering, swelling, or oozing.
• Should not use Fintop Cream for any other disorder than that for which it was prescribed.
