Momesone T Cream Uses :-
Momesone T cream is an combination of two medicines, that effectively treat fungal infections of the skin. Momesone T cream kills the fungi that lead to the infection and minimizes symptoms of inflammation like redness, swelling, and itching.
• Treatment of Fungal skin infections :
Momesone T cream is used to treat fungal infections like athlete’s foot (infection between toes), Jock itch (infection of the groin area), ringworm, and other fungal skin infections (candidiasis). Momesone T cream also give relief from pain, redness, itching, burning sensation and speeds up the healing process.
Directions For Use :-
Momesone T cream should be advised by your doctor.
Momesone T cream for external use only.
You should always use Momesone T cream properly as your doctor has told you. Do not use Momesone T cream for more than the suggested duration.
Clean and dry the affected area and put in the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
If you miss a of Momesone T cream, apply it as dose fast as it is possible. Although, if it is almost time for your next dose, leave the missed dose and go back to your daily schedule.
Do not double the dose. Momesone T cream should be used daily to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you required, it will not clear your condition faster and can only grow the side effects.
Skin infections will commonly get better after 2 to 6 weeks. Do not use the Momesone T cream for more than your doctor has told you to and let your know if your condition does not get better after 2 to 6 weeks of treatment.
How Dose Momesone T Cream Work :-
Momesone T Cream combination of two drugs : Mometasone furoate and terbinafine hydrochloride.
Mometasone Furoate :
Mometasone furoate is a corticosteroid. Mometasone furoate works by obstructing the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy.
Terbinafine Hydrochloride :
Terbinafine hydrochloride is an antifungal medicine. Terbinafine works by stopping the production of a chemical called as ergosterol, which is responsible for forming the fungal cell membrane (the protective covering of the fungi). So, it kills the fungi and stops the spread of infections. Thus, Momesone T cream treat fungal skin infections.
Momesone T Cream Sideeffects :-
Like all medicines, Momesone T cream can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
Some common side effects like -
• Application site reactions (burning, irritation, itching and redness).
• Skin peeling.
Most of these side effects are short term and get resolved with time. Although, if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get poor, take a doctor's consultation as soon as possible.
Precautions & Warning :-
• Avoid the use of Momesone T cream if you have allergy to mometasone furoate and terbinafine hydrochloride.
• If you have lately used another medicine for the infection. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should talk to their doctors before using Momesone T cream.
• Momesone T cream can be unsafe to use in pregnancy. Although there are restricted studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will think about the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please talk to your doctor.
• Momesone T cream is likely unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug can pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
• Momesone T cream must be applied to the affected area as suggested by your doctor.
Do not use Momesone T cream more frequently or for longer than ordered by your doctor.
• Before each application, wash the affected area with soap and water and dry well.
• Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Clean with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.
• Stop using Momesone T cream and tell your doctor if you observe any irritation, or any other skin infection.
Inform your doctor if the treated skin area does not get better after 2-6 weeks of treatment.
• It is advisable not to touch or scratch the infected area as it can worsen the condition.
