3. Pirfetid 600 Tablet Uses :-
Pirfetid 600 Tablet is used for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in adult patients.
IPF ( Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis ) is a condition in which your lung tissue swells and burns over time as a result, making it difficult to breathe deeply and the lungs are hard to function properly. Pirfenidone helps reduce scars and inflammation in the lungs, and helps in better breathing.
4. Pirfetid 600 Tablet Dosage :-
Pirfetid 600 Tablet is prescribed by your doctor.
Pirfetid 600 Tablet can be taken after food, as advised by your doctor.
Take Pirfetid 600 Tablet at the same time daily for the ease of remembering.
Avoid crushing, breaking or chewing the Pirfetid 600 Tablet.
However, it is important to continue taking Pirfetid 600 Tablet even if you feel well. If you stop taking Pirfetid 600 Tablet, your condition may worsen. Do not stop taking Pirfetid 600 Tablet without consulting your doctor.

7. Precautions & Warnings :-
• Allergy :
Pirfetid 600 Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Pirfenidone.
• Pregnancy :
Pirfetid 600 Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Therefore, pregnant women should consult their doctor.
• Breast-feeding :
Use of Pirfetid 600 Tablet during lactation is not recommended. Whether the constituent of Pirfetid 600 Tablet passes into breast milk is yet unknown.
• Liver impairment :
Pirfetid 600 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver problem as Pirfetid 600 Tablet may make your condition worse. Your doctor may suggest tests to closely monitor liver function, if necessary, during treatment with Pirfetid 600 Tablet.
• Kidney impairment :
Pirfetid 600 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease as Pirfetid 600 Tablet may make your condition worse. Your doctor may suggest tests to closely monitor kidney function, if necessary, during treatment with Pirfetid 600 tablets.
• Angioedema :
Patients with angioedema should use Pirfetid 600 Tablet with caution as it may lead to angioedema (a swollen condition under the skin). Use of Pirfetid 600 Tablet is not recommended in a patient with a history of Angioedema as it may worsen your condition.
• Use in pediatrics :
Pirfetid 600 Tablet are not recommended for use in children younger than 18 years of age.
• Alcohol :
The interaction of Pirfetid 600 Tablet with alcohol is unknown. Before consuming alcohol it is advisable to consult your doctor whether it is advisable to consume alcohol while taking Pirfetid 600 Tablet.
• Interaction with Medicine :
Some medicines like Fluvoxamine, Amiodarone, Propafenone, Ciprofloxacin and Enoxacin that may increase the side effects of Pirfetid 600 Tablet.
Certain medications such as omeprazole (used in the treatment of conditions such as indigestion, gastro-oesophageal refluxis) and Rifampicin that may reduce the effects of Pirfetid 600 Tablet.
• Sunlight :
Avoid exposure to sunlight while taking Pirfetid 600 Tablet and do not take certain medications such as tetracycline and doxycycline as these may make them more sensitive to sunlight.
• Grapefruit juice :
• Do not drink grapefruit juice while taking Pirfetid 600 Tablet.
• Smoking :
• People who smoke should stop smoking while taking Pirfetid 600 Tablet. Because smoking reduces the effect of Pirfetid 600 Tablet.
• Driving Vehicles and Operating Machines :
Pirfetid 600 Tablet may cause drowsiness and dizziness in some people. If you experience symptoms of drowsiness and dizziness, avoid activities that require mental focus. Like driving a vehicle and operating heavy machinery.
