Dasatrue 50 mg Tablet
Dasatrue 50 Tablet is used for the treatment of blood cancer (chronic myeloid leukaemia).
Dasatrue 50 Tablet Composition :-
Dasatrue 50 Tablet consists of : Dasatinib 50mg.
Dasatinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor.
Dasatrue 50 Tablet Uses :-
Dasatrue 50 Tablet is an anti-cancer medication. Dasatrue 50 Tablet is used to treat :
- Adults with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome–positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in chronic phase (CP).
- Adults with Ph+ CML who no longer benefit from, or does not tolerate, other treatment, involving imatinib.
- Adults with Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL) who no longer benefit from, or does not tolerate, other treatment.
- Children of 1 year age & older with Ph+ CML in chronic phase.
- Children 1 year of age & older with newly diagnosed Ph+ All in mixture with chemotherapy.
Dasatrue 50 Tablet Dosage :-
Dasatrue 50 Tablet is a prescription medicine.
Take Dasatrue 50 Tablet properly as your doctor tells you to take it. Your doctor can change your dose of Dasatrue 50 Tablet or temporarily stop treatment with Dasatrue 50 Tablet. Do not change your dose or stop taking Dasatrue 50 Tablet without consulting to your doctor.
Do take Dasatrue 50 Tablet one time a day.
Do take Dasatrue 50 Tablet with food or without food, in the morning or in the evening, at the same time each day.
Do swallow Dasatrue 50 Tablet tablets fully with water.
If your child cannot swallow tablets whole, talk to your doctor.
Don't cut, crush, or chew the Dasatrue 50 Tablet.
It is unknown if Dasatrue 50 Tablet is safe and usefull in children under 1 year of age.
Dasatrue 50 Tablet Side-effects :-
The most common side effects of Dasatrue 50 Tablet in adults & children receiving Dasatrue 50 Tablet alone include :
• Diarrhea,
• Headache,
• Skin rash,
• Shortness of breath,
• Tiredness,
• Nausea,
• muscle pain,
These are not all the possible side effects of Dasatrue 50 Tablet. Consult your doctor and if you have any new or worsening side effects.
How Dasatrue 50 Tablet Works :-
Dasatrue 50 Tablet contains Dasatinib.
Dasatinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor.
Dasatinib works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. Dasatinib helps to stop or slow the spread of cancer cells.
Thus, Dasatrue 50 Tablet treats blood cancer (chronic myeloid leukaemia).
Precautions & Warnings :-
• Consult to your doctor about all of your medical conditions, including if you have any of these medical conditions :
- Problems with your immune system.
- Heart problems, including a state known as congenital long QT syndrome.
- Low potassium or magnesium levels in your blood.
- Lactose (milk sugar) intolerance.
• Tell your doctor if you are :
Pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Dasatrue 50 Tablet may harm your unborn baby.
You should not become pregnant while treatment with Dasatrue 50 Tablet.
• Talk to your doctor right away if you become pregnant or think you can be pregnant in treatment with Dasatrue 50 Tablet.
• You should use helpful birth control (contraception) during treatment and for 30 days after your last dose of Dasatrue 50 Tablet.
• Breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. It is unknown if Dasatrue 50 Tablet passes into your breast milk. You must not breastfeed during treatment and for 2 weeks after your last dose of Dasatrue 50 Tablet.
•Inform your doctor about all the medicines you take, including :
- Prescription and over-the-counter,
- Medicines,
- Vitamins,
- Antacids,
- Herbal supplements,
• If you are taking an antacid medicine, take your dose of Dasatrue 50 Tablet two hours before or two hours after.
• Dasatrue 50 Tablet can interact with other medicines that you are taking. This may alter the relative benefits of Dasatrue 50 Tablet or cause unwanted side-effects.
• While treatment with Dasatrue 50 Tablet, make sure you also talk to your doctor before you start to take anything new. Your healthcare team can help identify any potential interactions and help find alternatives.
• Do not drink grapefruit juice while taking treatment with Dasatrue 50 Tablet.
• If you forget a dose of Dasatrue 50 Tablet, take your next scheduled dose at your regular time. Do not take two doses at the same time. Call your doctor if you are not sure what to do.
• Dasatrue 50 Tablet may give rise to fertility problems in males and females. Talk to your doctor if this is a concern for you.
• Dasatrue 50 Tablet can give rise to serious side effects, including those listed below.
Inform your doctor right away if you have any symptoms of the side effects below, or any other concerns about these side effects :
- Low blood cell counts,
- Bleeding problems,
- Your body can hold too much fluid (fluid retention),
- Heart and blood vessel (cardiovascular) problems,
- Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH),
- Severe skin reactions
- Tumor Lysis Syndrome (TLS),
- Slowing of growth and development in children,
