Faceclin AT Gel is prescribed for the treatment of acne vulgaris in patients of 12 years of age and above.

Faceclin AT Gel Composition :-

Faceclin AT Gel combination of two medicine :
Adapalene ........ 0.1% w/w
Clindamycin ....    1% w/w
Adapalene belongs to a class of drugs called retinoids.
Clindamycin belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics.

Faceclin AT Gel Uses :-

Faceclin AT Gel is recommmended for the treatment of acne vulgaris.
Acne Vulgaris :
Acne vulgaris is a long term skin condition that take place due to the obstruction of the hair follicles in your skin. This acne take place as whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, pustules, and cysts. Faceclin AT Gel is a safe and beneficial medicine for treatment of Acne vulgaris in adolescents and adults. It helps in lowering excess oil production from your skin.
Faceclin AT Gel is used in treatment if acne on your face, back, and chest which is caused by bacteria. Faceclin AT Gel helps in lowering excess oil production, blackheads, whiteheads, and painful lumps beneath your skin. Faceclin AT Gel works by stopping the growth of bacteria that lead to acne.

Faceclin AT Gel Dosage :-

Faceclin AT Gel for external use only.
Faceclin AT Gel is a prescription medicine used only if it is prescribed by your doctor. Put on a small amount (pea size) of Faceclin AT Gel one time in a day, mostly in the evening, or as prescribed by your doctor. 
Put on a small amount of Faceclin AT Gel as a thin layer and smoothly rub on the clean and dry affected area of the skin at night before going to bed.
Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert.
Complete your full course of treatment even if your symptoms starts to clear up after a few days.
You may have to use Faceclin AT Gel for months or even more longer in some cases to keep your acne in control.

Faceclin AT Gel Side-effects :-

Like all medicines, Faceclin AT Gel can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
• Dry skin,
• Rredness of the skin,
• Skin rash,
• Itching & burning sensation at the site of application.
Most of these side effects are short term and get resolved with time. Although, if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get poor, take a doctor's consultation as soon as possible.

How Faceclin AT Gel Works :-

Faceclin AT Gel is a combination of Adapalene & Clindamycin.
Adapalene controls unwanted sebum production (skin’s natural oil), removes dead skin cells, opens the pores on the skin.
Clindamycin works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are inporatant for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Altogether it stops or slows down the growth of bacteria and cure the growth of acne.
Thus, Faceclin AT Gel treats acne vulgaris.

Precautions & Warnings :-

• Tell your doctor if you are on any other anti-acne medications before starting the treatment with Faceclin AT Gel.
• Do not apply Faceclin AT Gel to broken skin or cuts. Tell your doctor if you have allergy to it.
• Do not use Faceclin AT Gel with any other topical anti-acne agents untill it is directed by your doctor. It can grow the risk of side effects like skin peeling, irritation, or dryness.
• Faceclin AT Gel is suggested for external use only. Avoid touching your eyes, mucous membranes, or open wounds. Wash with water immediately in case of accidental contact.
• Faceclin AT Gel is not suggested for use in children less than 12 years of age as the safety and efficacy data is unavailable.
• Faceclin AT Gel may interact with other medications like salicylic acid or isotretinoin.
• Eczema is a skin condition in which there is itchiness, swelling, and cracked skin. Do not use Faceclin AT Gel if you have eczema as it can lead to severe skin irritation on the eczematous skin.
• Use Faceclin AT Gel with caution if you have sunburnt skin. Faceclin AT Gel can give rise to an increased risk of extreme irritation of the skin. Avoid extended exposure to sunlight or sunlamps and use sunscreen or protective clothing during treatment with Faceclin AT Gel.
• Do not put on Faceclin AT Gel to cuts, open wounds, broken, sunburnt or sensitive areas of skin. Stay away from sun exposure while using Faceclin AT Gel as it can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight and lead to sunburn. Wear protective clothing and use a sunscreen while going out to protect your skin from sunburn. 
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please tell your doctor before taking Faceclin AT Gel.
