Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.

Vildagliptin is an dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors.
Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitors.

Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet is an antihyperglycemic agents, used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.
Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet is used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events and heart failure in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet Dosage :-
Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet as directed by your doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor.
Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. Always try to take Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet on regular schedule.
Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control.
Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet without asking your doctor.

How Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet Works :-
Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet combination of two antidiabetic drugs : Dapagliflozin & Vildagliptin.
Dapagliflozin :
Dapagliflozin works by blocking a protein in the kidney Which is called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2). SGLT2 is a protein Which absorbs glucose from the urine into the blood flow as it is filtered into the blood kidney.
By blocking the action of SGLT2, dapagliflozin causes the removal of excess glucose through urine, which reduces the level of glucose in the blood.
Vildagliptin :
Vildagliptin works by increasing the amount of insulin produced by our body. It also decreases the amount of glucagon produced by the pancreas. Glucagon causes your liver to produce more sugar, so by reducing the amount of glucagon in your body, it also helps lower your blood sugar levels. Vildagliptin lowers the amount of glucose in the blood.
Thus, Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.
Precautions & Warnings :-
• Before taking Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or an infection in the urinary tract or if you are taking (diuretic) pills.
• Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet is not intended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
• Pregnant or lactating women should also consult their doctor before taking Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet.
• Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking Vildamac DP 100/5 Tablet as it may increase the risk of some sideeffects.
• Continue to take medicine regularly - treatment for diabetes is lifelong.
• Do not take more than the prescribed dose, and one should try to take it at the same time every day.
