Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol Dosage :-
Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol is commonly taken with or without food once a day.
Take Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol at around the regular time every day.
Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol comes in strips of 21 tablets. Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol is marked with 21 tablets one day of each week.
Take Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol at a fixed time every day for 21 days.
- Start taking Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol a pill marked with the correct day of the week on strips of 21 tablets. - - Follow the direction of the arrows on the strip on the strips of Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol.
- Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol take one tablet every day, until you have finished all 21 tablets.
Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol Swallow each tablet whole with water, do not chew the tablet.
- After taking 21 pills of Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, you have seven free days, then you do not take any pill for those seven days.

- During the free days you do not need to use contraception after taking 21 pills of the pack of Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol.
- Start taking the pack of 21 tablets of Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol on the first day of the cycle (ie, the first day of your period). You are protected against pregnancy if you start taking Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol from the first day of your period.
- If you also start Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol on day 2-5 of the cycle, you should use additional protective contraception (such as a condom) for the first 7 days.
- If you forget to take Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, take the tablet as soon as you remember and then take Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol at your normal time.
- If you miss taking Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol and delay more than 12 hours after taking Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, then protection against pregnancy may be reduced.
- If you miss more Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, higher is the risk of getting pregnant.
- In case you forget to take Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol. Take the missed tablet as soon as you remember, even if you may need to take two pills at the same time, and use additional protective contraception (such as a condom) for the next 7 days.

Precautions & Warnings :-
• You are allergic to drospirenone, ethinylestradiol, the constituents of Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol.
• If for any reason you miss a dose of Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, or if you experience vomiting or vomiting within 4 hours of taking a dose, take another tablet. If you missed a dose or it is 12 hours late to take the missed dose, you should use a condom during intercourse for a period of 2 days.
• Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol is to be taken on the first day of menstruation. Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol has to be taken for a full month. Once the pack of Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol is exhausted, start with a new one.
To get the most benefit from Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, take it at the same time. It should be taken only as per the advice of your doctor.
• If you have had or have had problems with blood clots in a blood vessel in the legs (deep vein thrombosis, DVT), lungs (Pulmonary embolism, PE), or other organs.
• If you are suffering from blood clotting disorder.
• If you have had a heart attack, stroke or chest pain, or have diabetes with blood vessel damage, high blood pressure and increased levels of fats (cholesterol) in the blood.
• If you are suffering from kidney, liver or migraine disease. If you have or have ever had a liver tumor,
• If you have or are suspected of having a sex hormone-dependent tumor.
• If you have any unexplained bleeding from your vagina.
• If you have had surgery with immobilization for a long period of time.
• Stop using Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol and consult your doctor if you have yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes (jaundice), severe stomach pain, severe depression, or think you may be pregnant.
• Before you start treatment with Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, tell your doctor if you smoke, you are over 35, you have or have ever had a heart attack, or cancer of the uterus/cervix, or vagina.
• Your blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels may be checked regularly during treatment with Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol.
• You may experience spotting or bleeding between periods or missed periods while on treatment with Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol. If it happens repeatedly or persists for a long time, a doctor should be consulted.
• You should tell your doctor if you notice swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain or change in vision during treatment with Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, as these could be signs of a blood clot.
• Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol does not protect against HIV infection (AIDS) or any other sexually transmitted disease.
• Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol works by inhibiting ovulation and formation of endometrium.
• A few common side-effects such as headache, migraine, breast pain, and nausea are some of the common side effects of Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol. If side effects are bothersome or severe, you should tell your doctor.
• After abortion :
If you have had a miscarriage during the first three months of pregnancy, your doctor may ask you to start taking Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol. That is, you will get contraceptive protection from the first pill.
• Having a baby :
You can start taking Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol between 21 to 28 days after having a baby. If you start taking Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol after day 28, you should use protective contraception (for example, condoms) for the first seven days after taking Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol.
