Seboret-Plus Gel is prescribed for the treatment of acne vulgaris in patients of 12 years of age and above.
Seboret-Plus Gel Composition :-
Seboret-Plus Gel combination of two medicine :
Adapalene ........ 0.1% w/w
Clindamycin .... 1% w/w
Adapalene belongs to a class of drugs called retinoids.
Clindamycin belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics.
Seboret-Plus Gel Uses :-
Seboret-Plus Gel is recommmended for the treatment of acne vulgaris.
Acne Vulgaris :
Acne vulgaris is a long term skin condition that take place due to the obstruction of the hair follicles in your skin. This acne take place as whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, pustules, and cysts. Seboret-Plus Gel is a safe and beneficial medicine for treatment of Acne vulgaris in adolescents and adults. It helps in lowering excess oil production from your skin.
Seboret-Plus Gel is used in treatment if acne on your face, back, and chest which is caused by bacteria. Seboret-Plus Gel helps in lowering excess oil production, blackheads, whiteheads, and painful lumps beneath your skin. Seboret-Plus Gel works by stopping the growth of bacteria that lead to acne.
Seboret-Plus Gel Dosage :-
Seboret-Plus Gel for external use only.
Seboret-Plus Gel is a prescription medicine used only if it is prescribed by your doctor. Put on a small amount (pea size) of Seboret-Plus Gel one time in a day, mostly in the evening, or as prescribed by your doctor.
Put on a small amount of Seboret-Plus Gel as a thin layer and smoothly rub on the clean and dry affected area of the skin at night before going to bed.
Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert.
Complete your full course of treatment even if your symptoms starts to clear up after a few days.
You may have to use Seboret-Plus Gel for months or even more longer in some cases to keep your acne in control.
Seboret-Plus Gel Side-effects :-
Like all medicines, Seboret-Plus Gel can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
• Dry skin,
• Rredness of the skin,
• Skin rash,
• Itching & burning sensation at the site of application.
Most of these side effects are short term and get resolved with time. Although, if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get poor, take a doctor's consultation as soon as possible.
How Seboret-Plus Gel Works :-
Seboret-Plus Gel is a combination of Adapalene & Clindamycin.
Adapalene controls unwanted sebum production (skin’s natural oil), removes dead skin cells, opens the pores on the skin.
Clindamycin works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are inporatant for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Altogether it stops or slows down the growth of bacteria and cure the growth of acne.
Thus, Seboret-Plus Gel treats acne vulgaris.
Precautions & Warnings :-
• Tell your doctor if you are on any other anti-acne medications before starting the treatment with Seboret-Plus Gel.
• Do not apply Seboret-Plus Gel to broken skin or cuts. Tell your doctor if you have allergy to it.
• Do not use Seboret-Plus Gel with any other topical anti-acne agents untill it is directed by your doctor. It can grow the risk of side effects like skin peeling, irritation, or dryness.
• Seboret-Plus Gel is suggested for external use only. Avoid touching your eyes, mucous membranes, or open wounds. Wash with water immediately in case of accidental contact.
• Seboret-Plus Gel is not suggested for use in children less than 12 years of age as the safety and efficacy data is unavailable.
• Seboret-Plus Gel may interact with other medications like salicylic acid or isotretinoin.
• Eczema is a skin condition in which there is itchiness, swelling, and cracked skin. Do not use Seboret-Plus Gel if you have eczema as it can lead to severe skin irritation on the eczematous skin.
• Use Seboret-Plus Gel with caution if you have sunburnt skin. Seboret-Plus Gel can give rise to an increased risk of extreme irritation of the skin. Avoid extended exposure to sunlight or sunlamps and use sunscreen or protective clothing during treatment with Seboret-Plus Gel.
• Do not put on Seboret-Plus Gel to cuts, open wounds, broken, sunburnt or sensitive areas of skin. Stay away from sun exposure while using Seboret-Plus Gel as it can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight and lead to sunburn. Wear protective clothing and use a sunscreen while going out to protect your skin from sunburn.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please tell your doctor before taking Seboret-Plus Gel.
