Dapagliflozin and Linagliptin Uses :-

Dapagliflozin and Linagliptin is an antidiabetic medicine. Dapagliflozin and Linagliptin is used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.
Dapagliflozin and Linagliptin can be used in patients whose blood sugar level is not satisfactorily controlled by diet and work out, and who cannot tolerate metformin (another antidiabetic medicine).
Dapagliflozin and Linagliptin is used to reduce the risk of cardiac death in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Dapagliflozin and Linagliptin is used alone and in combination with other drugs to control blood sugar for people with type 2 diabetes.
Dapagliflozin and Linagliptin is not indicated for use in patients with type 1 diabetes (juvenile diabetes).
Dapagliflozin and Linagliptin should not be used for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.

Dapagliflozin works by blocking a protein in the kidney Which is called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitors. SGLT2 is a protein Which absorbs glucose from the urine into the blood flow as it is filtered into the blood kidney.
By blocking the action of SGLT2, dapagliflozin causes the removal of excess glucose through urine, which reduces the level of glucose in the blood.
• Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors drug. Linagliptin works by increasing the release of insulin (insulin that helps control blood sugar levels). Which helps in reducing the level of blood sugar. Linagliptin also increases the activity of glucagon-like peptide-1, which regulates blood sugar levels.

Precautions Warnings :-

• Do not take Dapagliflozin and Linagliptin, if you are allergic to Dapagliflozin & Linagliptin.
