Istamet G IR 50/1000/2 Tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.

Istamet G IR 50/1000/2 Tablet consists of : Sitagliptin 50 mg, Glimepiride 2 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride Prolonged-release 1000 mg.

• Sitagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors.

• Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea.

• Metformin Hydrochloride is a biguanide.

Istamet G IR 50/1000/2 Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine. Istamet G IR 50/1000/2 Tablet is used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.

Istamet G IR 50/1000/2 Tablet Dosage :-

Istamet G IR 50/1000/2 Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Istamet G IR 50/1000/2 Tablet as directed by your doctor. 

Istamet G IR 50/1000/2 Tablet can be taken with or without food, and should be swallowed whole and tablets must not be split, crushed, or chewed before swallowing.

• Genital fungal infection,

• Nasopharyngitis,

Glimepiride :

Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea. Glimepiride works by lowering the blood sugar by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas.

Metformin Hydrochloride :

Metformin Hydrochloride is an antidiabetic drugs belonging to a class of drugs called biguanide. Metformin delays the absorption of glucose from the intestines, by reducing the production of glucose in the liver. And thus metformin works by increasing the sensitivity of the body to insulin.
