Zomelis 50 mg tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.

Vildagliptin .................................. 50 mg

 

Vildagliptin is an dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors class antidiabetic drugs.

Zomelis 50 mg Tablet Uses :-

Zomelis 50 mg tablet is an antidiabetic drugs, used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age. Zomelis 50 mg tablet is also used in combination with other diabetes medicines. Zomelis 50 mg tablet can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs.
When Zomelis 50 mg tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar. 

Zomelis 50 mg Tablet Dosage :-

Zomelis 50 mg tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Zomelis 50 mg tablet as directed by your doctor. Use Zomelis 50 mg tablet exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor. Zomelis 50 mg tablet should be taken immediately before or with a meal. Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. And always try to take Zomelis 50 mg tablet on regular schedule. Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control. How Does Zomelis 50 mg Tablet ( Vildagliptin ) Work :-

Zomelis 50 mg tablet contains : Vildagliptin.

Vildagliptin works by increasing the amount of insulin produced by our body. It also decreases the amount of glucagon produced by the pancreas. Glucagon causes your liver to produce more sugar, so by reducing the amount of glucagon in your body, it also helps lower your blood sugar levels. Vildagliptin lowers the amount of glucose in the blood. 

Thus Zomelis 50 mg tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.

Like all medicines, Zomelis 50 mg tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.

Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia),
