Qtern 5/10 Composition:-

It consists of a combination of two drugs.
Saxagliptin hydrochloride 5 mg
Dapagliflozin propanediol monohydrate 10 mg

Qtern 5 /10 mg Tablet

Qtern 5/10 Uses :-

Adults 18 years of age and with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Qtern 5/10 mg Tablet is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes melitus (T2DM).

Qtern 5/10 mg Tablet is used to control high blood sugar levels in adult patients (over 18 years of age) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
When using this medicine with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar.

Qtern 5 mg / 10 mg Tablet is not indicated for use in patients with type1 diabetes.
Qtern 5/10 mg Tablet should not be used for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.

Qtern 5 /10 mg Tablet

Qtern 5/10 Dosage :-

This medicine is a prescription medicine. 
Take it as directed by your Diabetologist doctor.
It should be consumed with food or after meals with the advice given by me or your doctor.
The recommended dose of Qtern is one saxagliptin 5 mg dapagliflozin 10 mg tablet taken once daily at any time of the day, with or without food.

Do not change the dose or consult 2 or more doses at the same time without consulting your doctor. And always try to take this tablet at fixed time.

Always take this tablet, even if you feel well or if your blood sugar level is controlled. Do not stop taking without consulting your doctor. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may increase again. Do not stop taking this tablet without asking your doctor. Because treatment for diabetes is lifelong.

Qtern 5 /10 mg Tablet

Contraindications :-

Qtern 5/10 mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with a history of any serious hyparsensitivity raaction to the active substances or to any of the excipionts, including anaphylaxis or angioedema following exposure to any dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. 
Qtern 5/10 mg Tablet is contraindicaled in patienits with a history of any serious hypersensitivity to dapagliflozin.

Qtern 5 /10 mg Tablet

Overdose :-

There is no information available on overdose with Qtern 5/10 mg Tablet. In the event of an overdose, appropriate supportive treatment should be initiated as dictated by the patient's clinical status. Saxagliptin and its major metabolite are removed by haemodialysis (23% of dose over four hours). The removal of
dapagliflozin by haemodialysis has not been studied.
