Amphogard 50 mg Injection Composition :-

Liposomal Amphotericin B ................... 50mg

Liposomal Amphotericin B is an antifungal drug.

Amphogard 50 mg Injection Uses :-

This injection is prescribed for severe fungal infections Leishmaniasis ( Kala-azar ).

This injection is used in the treatment of severe fungal infections and Leishmaniasis ( Kala-azar ). This medicine reduces the infection by killing the fungal infections.

Fever, in empirical therapy for presumed fungal infections in neutropenic patients.

HIV-infected patients in the treatment of cryptococcal meningitis.

Treatment of patients with Aspergillus species, Candida species and / or Cryptococcus species infections refractory to amphotericin B deoxycholate, or in patients with renal impairment or unacceptable toxicity inhibiting the use of amphotericin B deoxycholate.

For the treatment of leishmaniasis of the intestine in immunocompromised patients in children and adults.

Useful for the treatment of candidiasis,
mucormycosis, aspergillosis, chronic mycetoma, cryptococcal meningitis, and leishmaniasis of the intestine.

This injection is administered as an injection by a health care professional. Please do not self-administer.

Before taking this injection, tell your doctor if you are suffering from diabetes, liver / kidney problems, or low levels of potassium in the blood. Or on dialysis.

Some sideeffects such as -

Fever & chills/rigors
Back pain,
Bronchospasm,
Chest tightness or pain,
Dyspnoea,
Bronchospasm,
Flushing,
Regular or irregular rapid heartbeat,
Low blood pressure

and there can be many other side effects as well as some side effects.

These sideeffects usually do not happen to everyone.
