Cefredrox tablet is a type of antibiotic medicine. It helps fight bacterial infections of various parts of the body such as ears, nose, throat, lungs, airways, urinary tract, skin, bone, joints, soft tissues and teeth.
Cefredrox tablet will not work for infections caused by viruses including the common cold and flu.

Cefredrox Tablet Dosage :-
Cefredrox tablet is a prescription medicine, and it should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
The dosage or duration of Cefredrox tablet is given according to the age of the patients or the symptoms of bacterial infection. Cefredrox tablet dosage may vary for each patient.
Cefredrox tablet should be taken exactly as per doctor's advice. Cefredrox tablet should be taken after meals as the chances of stomach upset are lesser.
One should complete the course of Cefredrox tablet even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic medicine which makes you feel better within few days, and skipping it in between can lead to re-infection. You should continue to take it as prescribed even if you feel better within a few days. Always take Cefredrox tablet at the prescribed time.

Cefpodoxime -
Cefpodoxime is a antibiotics known as 'cephalosporins'. Cefpodoxime is a bactericidal agent.
Cefpodoxime is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative groups of bacteria. Cefpodoxime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis (which is essential for the survival of bacteria). Cefpodoxime helps treat and prevent the spread of bacterial infections by stopping the formation of bacterial cells.
Thus, Cefredrox tablet helps to prevent the infections that occur due to bacteria in the body.
Precautions :-
Cefredrox tablet should be used during pregnancy only if clearly prescribed by the doctor.
Cefredrox tablet should be used by breastfeeding women only if clearly prescribed by the physician. Very small amounts of cefpodoxime are excreted in breast milk.
Cefredrox tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease as per doctor's advice.
Cefredrox tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease as advised by their doctor.
