Bigomet 250 tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Bigomet 250 tablet helps to control blood sugar level and prevents serious complications of diabetes.
By lowering or controlling blood sugar levels in this way, you can reduce your risk of serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, nerve problems, eye damage and loss of organs.
When Bigomet 250 tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar.
Apart from this, Bigomet 250 tablet is used to treat polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a menstrual disorder in women.
Bigomet 250 Tablet Dosage :-
Bigomet 250 tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Bigomet 250 tablet as directed by your doctor. Use Bigomet 250 tablet exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor.
Bigomet 250 tablet should be taken during or after a meal. Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice. Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time.
Always try to take Bigomet 250 tablet on regular schedule. Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control. Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Metformin Hydrochloride :
Metformin hydrochloride is an antidiabetic medicine belonging to a class of drugs called biguanides.
Metformin delays the absorption of glucose from the intestines, by reducing the production of glucose in the liver. And thus metformin works by increasing the sensitivity of the body to insulin.
Thus Bigomet 250 tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.

Pregnancy : Safe
Bigomet 250 tablet is safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown no or no adverse effects on the developing baby.
Breastfeeding : Safe
Bigomet 250 tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that Bigomet 250 does not represent any risk to the baby.
Driving : Caution
Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too high or low during treatment with Bigomet 250 tablet. Do not drive if you have these symptoms.
Kidney : Caution
Bigomet 250 tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Bigomet 250 tablet may be needed. Consult your doctor for this. Use of Bigomet 250 tablet is generally not advised in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function tests is advised while you are taking Bigomet 250 tablet.
Liver : Caution
Bigomet 250 tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Bigomet 250 tablet may be needed. Consult your doctor for this. Low dose of Bigomet 250 tablet is generally started in patients with mild liver disease and use of Bigomet 250 tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
Alcohol : Unsafe
It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Bigomet 250 tablet. Therefore, do not consume alcohol after taking Bigomet 250 tablet.
