Dapefy 10 tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.

Dapefy 10 Tablet Composition :-

Dapefy 10 tablet contains :

Dapagliflozin .................................. 10mg

Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitors, a class of oral hypoglycaemic agents.

Dapefy 10 Tablet Uses :-

Dapefy 10 tablet is an antihyperglycemic agents, used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.

Dapefy 10 tablet can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs.
When Dapefy 10 tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar.
Dapefy 10 tablet is not indicated for use in patients with type 1 diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis.

Dapefy 10 Tablet Dosage :-

Dapefy 10 tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Dapefy 10 tablet as directed by your doctor. Use Dapefy 10 tablet exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor. Dapefy 10 tablet should be taken immediately before or with a meal. Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. Always try to take Dapefy 10 tablet on regular schedule. Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control. Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking Dapefy 10 tablet without asking your doctor. Because the treatment of diabetes is lifelong.

How Does Dapefy 10 tablet Work :-

Dapefy 10 tablet contains : Dapagliflozin.

Dapagliflozin :

Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitors, a class of antihyperglycemic agents.
Dapagliflozin works by blocking a protein in the kidney Which is called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2). SGLT2 is a protein Which absorbs glucose from the urine into the blood flow as it is filtered into the blood kidney.
By blocking the action of SGLT2, dapagliflozin causes the removal of excess glucose through urine, which reduces the level of glucose in the blood.

Thus Dapefy 10 tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.

Dapefy 10 Tablet Sideeffects :-

Like all medicines, Dapefy 10 tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.

Some common side effects like -

Genital infection,

Nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the nose and throat),

Urinary tract infection,

Symptoms of hypoglycaemia : ( feeling shivering or restless, sweating, feeling hungry, feeling like your heart is pounding, dizziness ),

Difficulty urinating and many other side effects can occur.

Precautions :-

Before taking Dapefy 10 tablet, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or an infection in the urinary tract or if you are taking (diuretic) pills.

Dapefy 10 tablet is not intended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

Pregnant or lactating women should also consult their doctor before taking Dapefy 10 tablet.

Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking Dapefy 10 tablet as it may increase the risk of some sideeffects.

Continue to take medicine regularly - treatment for diabetes is lifelong.

Dapefy 10 tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor for this.

Liver - As Advised by Your Doctor,

Dapefy 10 tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease, dose adjustment of Dapefy 10 tablet 10mg Tablet may be needed in such patients. Please consult your doctor for this.

Pregnancy - According to Their Doctor's Advice,

women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult their doctor before taking Dapefy 10 tablet. Women who become pregnant while using Dapefy 10 tablet should stop taking this medicine. And talk to your doctor about the best way to control your blood sugar.

Breastfeeding - As Recommended by your Doctor,

There is no information available on the use of Dapefy 10 tablet during lactation as advised by your doctor. And it is also not known whether the constituents of Dapefy 10 tablet passes into human breast milk, If you are breast-feeding women, take Dapefy 10 tablet as advised by your doctor before taking this medicine.

Driving & Using Machines - With Caution,

Dapefy 10 tablet has no adverse effect on the ability to drive and use machines. If your blood sugar is too low or too high, your ability to drive may be affected.

If so your ability to drive may be affected. Do not drive a vehicle if you have these symptoms. Taking Dapefy 10 tablet with other antidiabetics medicines or with insulin may cause very low blood sugar levels, such as tremor, dizziness, sweating, and changes in vision, and if these symptoms occur then drive and use machines. can affect your ability to And in such a situation do not drive or use any equipment or machine.

Alcohol - Unsafe,

It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Dapefy 10 tablet. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking Dapefy 10 tablet as it may increase the risk of certain side effects.
