Yamini Tablet is a contraceptive medicine. Yamini Tablet is used for contraception (to prevent pregnancy).
Yamini Tablet Composition :-
Yamini Tablet consists of : Drospirenone 3 mg and Ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg.
Yamini Tablet Uses :-
Yamini Tablet is used as an oral contraceptive pill for women. Yamini Tablet is a combination pill which contains two synthetic female sex hormones like Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol as active ingredients.
Yamini Tablet helps in inhibiting the release and fertilization of an egg.
Yamini Tablet Dosage :-
Yamini Tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Yamini Tablet is commonly taken with or without food once a day.
Take Yamini Tablet at around the regular time every day.
Yamini Tablet comes in strips of 21 tablets. Yamini Tablet is marked with 21 tablets one day of each week.
Take Yamini Tablet at a fixed time every day for 21 days.
- Start taking Yamini Tablet a pill marked with the correct day of the week on strips of 21 tablets. - - Follow the direction of the arrows on the strip on the strips of Yamini Tablet.
- Yamini Tablet take one tablet every day, until you have finished all 21 tablets.
Yamini Tablet Swallow each tablet whole with water, do not chew the tablet.
- After taking 21 pills of Yamini Tablet, you have seven free days, then you do not take any pill for those seven days.
- If you take one last tablet of Yamini Tablet pack on Friday, then you should take the first tablet of your next pack on Saturday of next week.
- Within a few days of taking the last tablet of Yamini Tablet, you may experience menstrual-like bleeding or your bleeding has not stopped and it is time to start the next pack of Yamini Tablet.
- During the free days you do not need to use contraception after taking 21 pills of the pack of Yamini Tablet.
- Start taking the pack of 21 tablets of Yamini Tablet on the first day of the cycle (ie, the first day of your period). You are protected against pregnancy if you start taking Yamini Tablet from the first day of your period.
- If you also start Yamini Tablet on day 2-5 of the cycle, you should use additional protective contraception (such as a condom) for the first 7 days.
- If you forget to take Yamini Tablet, take the tablet as soon as you remember and then take Yamini Tablet at your normal time.
- If you miss taking Yamini Tablet and delay more than 12 hours after taking Yamini Tablet, then protection against pregnancy may be reduced.
- If you miss more Yamini Tablet, higher is the risk of getting pregnant.
- In case you forget to take Yamini Tablet. Take the missed tablet as soon as you remember, even if you may need to take two pills at the same time, and use additional protective contraception (such as a condom) for the next 7 days.
Yamini Tablet Side-effects :-
Like all medicines, Yamini Tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
Common side effects of Yamini Tablet
• Nausea,
• Headache,
• Migraine,
• Breast Pain,
• Depressed mood
• Breast tenderness,
• Menstrual disorders,
• Bleeding between periods,
• Vaginal discharge,
Most of these side effects are short term and get resolved with time. Although, if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get poor, take a doctor's consultation as soon as possible.
Precautions & Warnings :-
• You are allergic to Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, the constituents of Yamini Tablet.
• If for any reason you miss a dose of Yamini Tablet, or if you experience vomiting or vomiting within 4 hours of taking a dose, take another tablet. If you missed a dose or it is 12 hours late to take the missed dose, you should use a condom during intercourse for a period of 2 days.
• Yamini Tablet is to be taken on the first day of menstruation. Yamini Tablet has to be taken for a full month. Once the pack of Yamini Tablet is exhausted, start with a new one.
To get the most benefit from Yamini Tablet, take it at the same time. It should be taken only as per the advice of your doctor.
• If you have had or have had problems with blood clots in a blood vessel in the legs (deep vein thrombosis, DVT), lungs (Pulmonary embolism, PE), or other organs.
• If you are suffering from blood clotting disorder.
• If you have had a heart attack, stroke or chest pain, or have diabetes with blood vessel damage, high blood pressure and increased levels of fats (cholesterol) in the blood.
• If you are suffering from kidney, liver or migraine disease. If you have or have ever had a liver tumor,
• If you have or are suspected of having a sex hormone-dependent tumor.
• If you have any unexplained bleeding from your vagina.
• If you have had surgery with immobilization for a long period of time.
• Stop using Yamini Tablet and consult your doctor if you have yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes (jaundice), severe stomach pain, severe depression, or think you may be pregnant.
• Before you start treatment with Yamini Tablet, tell your doctor if you smoke, you are over 35, you have or have ever had a heart attack, or cancer of the uterus/cervix, or vagina.
• Your blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels may be checked regularly during treatment with Yamini Tablet.
• You may experience spotting or bleeding between periods or missed periods while on treatment with Yamini Tablet. If it happens repeatedly or persists for a long time, a doctor should be consulted.
• You should tell your doctor if you notice swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain or change in vision during treatment with Yamini Tablet, as these could be signs of a blood clot.
• Yamini Tablet does not protect against HIV infection (AIDS) or any other sexually transmitted disease.
• Yamini Tablet works by inhibiting ovulation and formation of endometrium.
• A few common side-effects such as headache, migraine, breast pain, and nausea are some of the common side effects of Yamini Tablet. If side effects are bothersome or severe, you should tell your doctor.
• After abortion :
If you have had a miscarriage during the first three months of pregnancy, your doctor may ask you to start taking Yamini Tablet. That is, you will get contraceptive protection from the first pill.
• Having a baby :
You can start taking Yamini Tablet between 21 to 28 days after having a baby. If you start taking Yamini Tablet after day 28, you should use protective contraception (for example, condoms) for the first seven days after taking Yamini Tablet.
