Sitazit 50 Tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.
Sitazit 50 Tablet Composition :-
Sitazit 50 Tablet consists of : Sitagliptin Phosphate 50 mg.
Sitagliptin phosphate is an dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors.

Sitazit 50 Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine. Sitazit 50 Tablet is used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.
Sitazit 50 Tablet is also used alone or in combination with certain other medicines such as insulin, metformin, sulfonylurea or glitazone.
Sitazit 50 Tablet helps to increase the levels of insulin produced after a meal and decreases the amount of sugar made by the body.
Sitazit 50 Tablet Dosage :-
Sitazit 50 Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Sitazit 50 Tablet as directed by your doctor.
The recommended dose of Sitazit 50 Tablet once daily. Sitazit 50 Tablet can be taken with or without food.
Sitazit 50 Tablet should be swallowed whole and tablets must not be split, crushed, or chewed before
swallowing.
Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor.
Neverr self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. Always try to take Sitazit 50 Tablet on regular schedule.
Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control.

• Headache,
• Nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the nose and throat),
Most of these side effects are short term and get resolved with time. Although, if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get poor, take a doctor's consultation as soon as possible.

Precautions & Warnings :-
• Sitazit 50 Tablet is not intended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis,
• Do not take Sitazit 50 Tablet, if you are allergic to sitagliptin or any of the other ingredients of Sitazit 50 Tablet.
• Tell your doctor if you have or have had:
Disease of the pancreas (such as pancreatitis) gallstones, alcohol dependence or very high levels of triglycerides (a form of fat) in your blood. These medical conditions can increase your chance of getting pancreatitis.
• It is not effective in children and adolescents between the ages of 10 and 17 years. It is not known if Sitazit 50 Tablet is safe and effective when used in children younger than 10 years.
• Tell your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
• In particular, tell your doctor if you are taking digoxin (medicine used to treat irregular heartbeat & other heart disease). The level of digoxin in your blood may need to be checked if taking with Sitazit 50 Tablet.
• Pregnancy and breast-feeding :
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking Sitazit 50 Tablet.
- You should not take Sitazit 50 Tablet during pregnancy.
- It is not known if Sitazit 50 Tablet passes into breast milk. You should not take Sitazit 50 Tablet if you are breast-feeding or plan to breast-feed.
• Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking Sitazit 50 Tablet as it may increase the risk of some sideeffects.
• Continue to take medicine regularly - treatment for diabetes is lifelong.
• Do not take more than the prescribed dose, and one should try to take it at the same time every day.
• Do not stop taking it without asking your
diabetologist doctor otherwise blood sugar may increase.
• Regularly monitor your blood sugar level while taking Sitazit 50 Tablet.
