Engatt Eye Drop consists of : Gatifloxacin. Gatifloxacin is a fluoroquinolones antibiotic. Gatifloxacin is use to treats bacterial eye infections by preventing the bacteria from dividing and repairing. Gatifloxacin does so stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase.
Thus, Engatt Eye Drop treats bacterial infections of the eye.
Precautions & Warnings :-
• Avoid using Engatt Eye Drop if you are allergic to Gatifloxacin.
• If irritation persists or worsens during the use of Engatt Eye Drop, the use of Engatt Eye Drop muat be discontinued and your doctor should be consulted.
• Always wash your hands and don't touch the end of the dropper. This can infect your eye.
• Use the solution within one month of opening the Engatt Eye Drop. If the solution is cloudy or dark brown in color, it should be discarded.
• Engatt Eye Drop is not recommended for use in children less than one year of age untill it is directed by your doctor..
• It is not known whether Engatt Eye Drop interacts with alcohol. Please talk to your doctor.
• It is not known whether Engatt Eye Drop will harm your foetus. So, if you are pregnant, talk about the risks and benefits of using this medicine with your doctor.
• It is not known whether Engatt Eye Drop pass into breastmilk. If you are breastfeeding then use this medicine by consulting your doctor.
• Do not wear contact lenses if you have an eye infection or while you are instilling Engatt Eye Drop.
• Engatt Eye Drop may cause short-term blurring of vision, burning sensation, or discomfort in the eyes after using the eye drops. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines until your vision is clear.
• If you miss a dose of Engatt Eye Drop, use it as soon as you remember. So, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
