Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet helps to control blood sugar level and prevents serious complications of diabetes.
By lowering or controlling blood sugar levels in this way, you can reduce your risk of serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, nerve problems, eye damage and loss of organs.
When Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar.
Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet Dosage :-
Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet as directed by your doctor. Use Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor.

Thus Mefomin 1000 SR tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.

Pregnancy : Safe
Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet is safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown no or no adverse effects on the developing baby.
Breastfeeding : Safe
Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that metformin does not represent any risk to the baby.
Driving : Caution
Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too high or low during treatment with Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet. Do not drive if you have these symptoms.
Kidney : Caution
Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet may be needed. Consult your doctor for this. Use of Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet is generally not advised in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function tests is advised while you are taking Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet.
Liver : Caution
Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet may be needed. Consult your doctor for this. Low dose of Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet is generally started in patients with mild liver disease and use of Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
Alcohol : Unsafe
It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet. Therefore, do not consume alcohol after taking Mefomin 1000 SR Tablet.
