Tergosil 250mg Tablet Uses :-
Tergosil 250mg tablet is an antifungal medicines. Tergosil 250mg tablet is used to treat fungal infections such as athlete's foot (itchy, scaly, and white patches between the toes), jock itch (reddish, itchy, and ring-shaped rash in the groin), ringworm ( Red, itchy, and circular-shaped rashes along the skin, scalp, or in between the nails), and nail infections.

Tergosil 250mg Tablet Dosage :-
Tergosil 250mg tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage and duration of Tergosil 250mg tablet would depend on the severity of the treatment depending on the condition. Tergosil 250mg tablet can be taken with or without food. Tergosil 250mg tablet complete the course of treatment, even if you feel better after a few doses or after a few days. If you stop taking Tergosil 250mg tablet too early without completing a course, the infection may reappear, and be difficult to treat.

How Does Tergosil 250mg Tablet Work :-
Tergosil 250mg Tablet contains : Terbinafine.
Terbinafine :
Terbinafine is an antifungal drugs.
Terbinafine works by stopping the production of a chemical called ergosterol, which works by damaging and killing the cell membrane (protective covering) of the fungus. Thus, Terbinafine prevents the spread of the fungal infection.
This is how Tergosil 250mg tablet treats fungal infections.

Tergosil 250mg Tablet Sideeffects :-
Like all medicines, Tergosil 250mg tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
Some common side effects like -
Nausea,
Vomiting,
Skin rash,
Headache,
Loss of appetite and there can be many other side effects as well as some side effects. Those that have not been mentioned. However, if you have any experience of any sideeffets and if they do not reduce then consult your doctor.

Precautions :-
• Avoid if you are allergic to Tergosil 250mg tablet.
Avoid if you are allergic to Tergosil 250mg tablet if you have a skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of your face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathlessness. If symptoms like difficulty in taking etc. appear, then inform the doctor immediately.
• If you have liver problems. Tergosil 250mg tablet may worsen liver conditions. Should be used with caution. Your doctor may monitor your liver function regularly during your treatment with Tergosil 250mg tablet. Tell your doctor if you have pale skin or eyes, dark urine, or stomach pain.
• Tergosil 250mg tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless required. Therefore, consult your doctor if you are pregnant.
• Tergosil 250mg tablet is not recommended for use during lactation as it passes into breast milk. Therefore, consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
• Tergosil 250mg tablet may cause serious skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome (skin condition that causes rashes and blisters), toxic epidermal necrolysis (skin condition that causes blistering and peeling of the skin), Etcetera. Consult your doctor if you experience a skin rash that persists or gets worse.
• Tergosil 250mg tablet can cause a decrease in the number of blood cells. Tergosil 250mg tablet should be used with caution if you have low blood cell counts. During Tergosil 250mg tablet treatment your doctor may suggest regular blood tests to monitor your blood cell count.
• Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy while on treatment with Tergosil 250mg tablet. 
• Tergosil 250mg tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. 
• The interaction of Tergosil 250mg tablet with alcohol is unknown. It is advisable to consult your doctor before consuming alcohol.
• Tergosil 250mg tablet can interact with other drugs to cause unwanted effects So, if you are taking any other medicine then tell your doctor. pimozide, leflunomide, codeine, doxepin, clozapine  carvedilol, duloxetine & dextromethorphan etc.
• Tergosil 250mg tablet should be used with caution if you have depression. Because Tergosil 250mg tablet can cause depression in some cases. Therefore, if you experience depressive symptoms, contact your doctor immediately.
• Neutropenia refers to low levels of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell that help the body fight infection) in your blood. If you have neutropenia, Tergosil 250mg tablet may cause neutropenia in some cases. Hence,Tergosil 250mg tablet should be used with caution. Your doctor may suggest regular blood tests to monitor blood counts during treatment with Tergosil 250mg tablet.
