Gutwin 550 Tablet is an antibiotic. Gutwin 550 Tablet is use for treating hepatic encephalopathy (a decline in brain function that happens due to the build-up of toxins in the blood as a result of critical liver disease) and irritable bowel syndrome. (a gastrointestinal disorder that give rise to pain in the abdomen and changes in bowel movements).
Gutwin 550 Tablet Dosage :-
Gutwin 550 Tablet is a prescription medicine. Gutwin 550 Tablet can be taken with or without food, as advised by your doctor.
Gutwin 550 Tablet dose or duration and treatment will be decided by your doctor.
It is better to take Gutwin 550 Tablet at a fixed time every day.
If you miss a dose of Gutwin 550 Tablet, take Gutwin 550 Tablet as soon as you remember.

Precautions & Warnings :-
• Gutwin 550 Tablet is not suggested if you are allergic to Rifaximin.

• Gutwin 550 Tablet can give rise to diarrhoea because it can also kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine. Tell your doctor if you undergo critical diarrhoea while taking Gutwin 550 Tablet.
• Antibiotic resistance take place when bacteria develop the capacity to defeat the medicine that was intended to kill them. So, finish your full course of treatment with Gutwin 550 Tablet even if your condition gets better after a few doses to avoid antibiotic resistance.
• Gutwin 550 Tablet can give rise to dizziness. So, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy after taking Gutwin 550 Tablet.
• Gutwin 550 Tablet is not suggested for use in children below the age of 12 years for the treatment of traveller's diarrhoea.
• Due to the lack of safety data, Gutwin 550 Tablet must be used with caution if you have kidney problems. Inform your doctor before having Gutwin 550 Tablet.
• Gutwin 550 Tablet can kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and lead to diarrhoea.
