Sitared 25 Tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.
Sitared 25 Tablet Composition :-
Sitared 25 Tablet consists of : Sitagliptin Phosphate 25 mg.
Sitagliptin phosphate is an dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors.

Sitared 25 Tablet Uses :-
Sitared 25 Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine. Sitared 25 Tablet is used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.
Sitared 25 Tablet is also used alone or in combination with certain other medicines such as insulin, metformin, sulfonylurea or glitazone.
Sitared 25 Tablet helps to increase the levels of insulin produced after a meal and decreases the amount of sugar made by the body.
Sitared 25 Tablet Dosage :-
Sitared 25 Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Sitared 25 Tablet as directed by your doctor.
The recommended dose of Sitared 25 Tablet once daily. Sitared 25 Tablet can be taken with or without food.
Sitared 25 Tablet should be swallowed whole and tablets must not be split, crushed, or chewed before
swallowing.
Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor.
Neverr self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. Always try to take Sitared 25 Tablet on regular schedule.
Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control.
Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking Sitared 25 Tablet without asking your doctor.

Sitared 25 Tablet Side-effects :-
Like all medicines, Sitared 25 Tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
• Headache,
• Nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the nose and throat),
Most of these side effects are short term and get resolved with time. Although, if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get poor, take a doctor's consultation as soon as possible.

Precautions & Warnings :-
• Sitared 25 Tablet is not intended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis,
• Do not take Sitared 25 Tablet, if you are allergic to sitagliptin or any of the other ingredients of Sitared 25 Tablet.
• Tell your doctor if you have or have had:
Disease of the pancreas (such as pancreatitis) gallstones, alcohol dependence or very high levels of triglycerides (a form of fat) in your blood. These medical conditions can increase your chance of getting pancreatitis.
• It is not effective in children and adolescents between the ages of 10 and 17 years. It is not known if Sitared 25 Tablet is safe and effective when used in children younger than 10 years.
• Tell your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
• In particular, tell your doctor if you are taking digoxin (medicine used to treat irregular heartbeat & other heart disease). The level of digoxin in your blood may need to be checked if taking with Sitared 25 Tablet.
• Pregnancy and breast-feeding :
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking Sitared 25 Tablet.
- You should not take Sitared 25 Tablet during pregnancy.
- It is not known if Sitared 25 Tablet passes into breast milk. You should not take Sitared 25 Tablet if you are breast-feeding or plan to breast-feed.
• Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking Sitared 25 Tablet as it may increase the risk of some sideeffects.
• Continue to take medicine regularly - treatment for diabetes is lifelong.
• Do not take more than the prescribed dose, and one should try to take it at the same time every day.
• Do not stop taking it without asking your
diabetologist doctor otherwise blood sugar may increase.
• Regularly monitor your blood sugar level while taking Sitared 25 Tablet.
