Moxifax Eye Drop is an antibiotic. Moxifax Eye Drop is used in the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, an eye infection caused by bacteria, also known as pink eye. It is a bacterial eye infection affecting the conjunctiva (a clear tissue covering the white part of your eyeball and lines the eyelid). This infection can  spread easily by direct or indirect contact with an infected person. 

Moxifax Eye Drop Dosage :-

Moxifax Eye Drop is a prescription medicine, and for external/opthalmic use only. Moxifax Eye Drop dose, duration or treatment will be decided by your doctor.

Moxifloxacin is a quinolone antibiotics. Moxifloxacin works by blocking the action of an enzyme which is required for bacterial multiplication. 
Thus Moxifax Eye Drop prevents further growth of bacteria and kills the infection-causing bacteria.

Precautions & Warnings :-

• Avoid using Moxifax Eye Drop if you are allergic to moxifloxacin.
• Critical allergic reactions to this medicine are rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as severe itching, redness, eye irritation, blurred vision, or sensitivity to light.
• If irritation persists or worsens during the use of Moxifax Eye Drop, the use of Moxifax Eye Drop must be discontinued and your doctor should be consulted.
• Always wash your hands and don't touch the end of the dropper. This can infect your eye.
• Moxifax Eye Drop is not suggested for use if a child is below 1 year of age as the safety and efficacy data are not clinically established.
• It is not known whether Moxifax Eye Drop interacts with alcohol. It is suggested to consult your doctor before consumption.
• Moxifax Eye Drop can be used during pregnancy upon your doctor's recommendation. consult your doctor.

• Antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria develop the capacity to defeat the medicine that was intended to kill them. So, to avoid such resistance, you should always complete the entire course of treatment with Moxifax Eye Drop even if you feel better.
• Avoid wearing contact lenses if you have an eye infection.
• If you miss a dose of Moxifax Eye Drop, use it as soon as you remember. So, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
