Celiac disease :
- An immune reaction to eating gluten. It is a protein found in wheat, barley and rye.
- Over time, the immune reaction to eating gluten produce inflammation that damages the small intestine's lining, which lead to medical complications. It also prevents absorption of some nutrients (malabsorption).
Symptoms
- The classic symptom is diarrhoea. Other symptoms are bloating, wind, fatigue, low blood count (anaemia) and osteoporosis. Most of the people do it have any symptoms.
