Lactose intolerance
It is also called as milk intolerance.
- The uncapacity to fully digest sugar (lactose) in dairy products.
- Lactose intolerance is commonly caused by a deficiency of an enzyme in the body known as lactase.
Symptoms :
Symptoms are abdominal cramps, bloating and diarrhoea.
People can experience:
- Pain in the abdomen area,
- Gastrointestinal: belching, diarrhoea, fat in stool, indigestion, flatulence, bloating or stomach cramps,
- baby colic or malaise is also common.

Treatment focuses on avoidance of dairy products, use of lactose-free products or the use of lactase supplements.
