Prostaglandin

Prostaglandins are compounds made from fat in the body that have hormone-like effects. Prostaglandins exert different effects depending on the receptors to which they attach.
such as:
Dilation or constriction of blood vessels,
Forming or breaking down platelets into a cluster,
Opening or closing the airway
Relaxing or contracting smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract,
When not pregnant,
Due to uterine contractions in pregnancy,
