AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.

AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet Uses :-

AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine. AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet is used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.
AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet can be used in patients whose blood sugar level is not satisfactorily controlled by diet and work out, and who cannot tolerate metformin (another antidiabetic medicine).
AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet is used to reduce the risk of cardiac death in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet is used alone and in combination with other drugs to control blood sugar for people with type 2 diabetes.
AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet is not indicated for use in patients with type1 diabetes.
AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet should not be used for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.

AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet Dosage :-

AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet as directed by your doctor. 
AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet can be taken with or without food, and should be swallowed whole and tablets must not be split, crushed, or chewed before swallowing.
Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor.
Neverr self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. Always try to take AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet on regular schedule.
Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control.
Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet without asking your doctor.

AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet Side-effects :-

Like all medicines, AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.
• Cough,
• Nausea,
• Vomiting,
• Genital fungal infection,
Most of these side effects are short term and get resolved with time. Although, if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get poor, take a doctor's consultation as soon as possible.

How AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet Works :-

AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet combination of two antidiabetic medicine : Empagliflozin and Linagliptin.
• Empagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitors drug. Empagliflozin lowers blood sugar by reducing excess glucose in the urine by the kidneys.
• Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors drug. Linagliptin works by increasing the release of insulin (insulin that helps control blood sugar levels). Which helps in reducing the level of blood sugar. Linagliptin also increases the activity of glucagon-like peptide-1, which regulates blood sugar levels.
Thus, AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet that control high blood sugar levels in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Precautions Warnings :-

• Do not take AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet, if you are allergic to Empagliflozin and Linagliptin.
• Type 1 Diabetes : AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet is not suggested for use in patients with type 1 diabetes (juvenile diabetes).
• Drinking of alcohol is not suggested during treatment with AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet due to the grown risk of critical adverse effects.
• AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet is not suggested for use in children and adolescents since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
• Before taking AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or an infection in the urinary tract or if you are taking (diuretic) pills.
• AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet is not intended for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.
• Pregnant or lactating women should also consult their doctor before taking AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet. 
• Blood pressure patients, low-salt diet and low blood pressure patients.
• High cholesterol levels (hypercholesterolemia), patients with a history of urinary tract infection, and people 65 years or older
• Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet as it may increase the risk of some sideeffects.
• Continue to take medicine regularly - treatment for diabetes is lifelong.
• Do not take more than the prescribed dose. And one should try to take it at the same time every day.
• Do not stop taking AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet without asking your
diabetologist doctor otherwise blood sugar may increase.
• Regularly monitor your blood sugar level while taking AjaDuo 10/5 Tablet.
