Empagliflozin and Linagliptin is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.

Empagliflozin and Linagliptin Uses :-

Empagliflozin and Linagliptin is an antidiabetic medicine. Empagliflozin and Linagliptin is used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.
Empagliflozin and Linagliptin can be used in patients whose blood sugar level is not satisfactorily controlled by diet and work out, and who cannot tolerate metformin (another antidiabetic medicine).
Empagliflozin and Linagliptin is used to reduce the risk of cardiac death in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Empagliflozin and Linagliptin is used alone and in combination with other drugs to control blood sugar for people with type 2 diabetes.
Empagliflozin and Linagliptin is not indicated for use in patients with type1 diabetes.
Empagliflozin and Linagliptin should not be used for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.

Which helps in reducing the level of blood sugar. Linagliptin also increases the activity of glucagon-like peptide-1, which regulates blood sugar levels.
