Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate & Emtricitabine tablet are prescribed for the treatment of HIV -1 infection in adults.

Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate & Emtricitabine Tablet Uses :-

Tenofovir & Emtricitabine belongs to a group of drugs called antiretrovirals.

Treatment of HIV-1 infection -

Tenofovir & Emtricitabine is used to treat HIV-1 infection.

HIV-1 pre-exposure prophylaxis -

Tenofovir & Emtricitabine tablet is used as a treatment combining safe sex practices for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to reduce the risk of sexually acquired HIV-1 in adults.

Tenofovir & Emtricitabine tablet is used alone or in combination with other antiretroviral agents.

Tenofovir & Emtricitabine tablet work by slowing down the spread of HIV in the body.

Individuals must have a negative HIV-1 test for HIV-1 PrEP immediately prior to starting the Tenofovir & Emtricitabine tablet.

Emtricitabine 200mg + Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate 300mg fixed dose combination tablets for oral use.

Tenofovir & Emtricitabine tablet is a prescription medicine, and it should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor.

Dosage or duration of Tenofovir & Emtricitabine tablet is given according to the symptoms of the patients.
