Epifine cream is prescribed for the treatment of various fungal infections of the skin such as athlete's foot ( tinea pedis ), jock itch ( tinea cruris ) and ringworm infections ( tinea corporis ) and fungal infection of the skin.

3. Epifine Cream Uses :-
Epifine cream is an antifungal medicine. Epifine cream is specify in the treatment of dermatomycoses which is caused by dermatophytes, like athlete's foot ( tinea pedis ), jock itch ( tinea cruris ) and ringworm infections ( tinea corporis ) and fungal infection of the skin.
Epifine cream is also soecify in cutaneous candidiasis and pityriasis versicolor.
4. Epifine Cream Dosage :-
Epifine cream is prescribed by your doctor.
Epifine cream for external use only.
Cleanse and dry the affected areas fully before application of Epifine cream.
Epifine cream should be spread to the affected areas one time daily (in the evening).
The treatment must be continued without interruption upto clinical cure, and for many days thereafter.
The needed duration of treatment depends on the species of fungi and on the localisation of the infection.
In common, treatment must be continued for at least 2–3 weeks. In foot mycoses, up to 6 weeks of therapy can be necessary. Based on the results of reported clinical trials, cure can be expected in 80–90% of skin mycoses.
Finish the full course of treatment even if your symptoms starts to clear up after a few days.
5. Epifine Cream Sideeffects :-

• Burning,
• Itching,
• Erythema,
• Skin dryness,
• Scaling,
Case reports of allergic contact dermatitis have been reported.
Most of these side effects are short term and get resolved with time. Although, if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get poor, take a doctor's consultation as soon as possible.

7. Precautions & Warnings :-
• Epifine cream is contraindicated in individuals who have shown hypersensitivity to any of its components.
• If hypersensitivity to amorolfine take place, discontinue use and take immediate medical advice.
• Epifine cream must not be spread to mucous membranes, ears or eyes.
A systemic or local allergic reaction could possibly take place after use of Epifine cream. If this happens, Epifine cream has to be stopped immediately and medical suggesion should be sought. Remove the cream properly by cleaning the skin. The cream should not be reapplied.
• Drug Interactions :
Epifine cream are no particular studies including concomitant treatment with other topical medicines.
Use of nail varnish or artificial nails must be ignored during treatment.
• Pregnancy :
There are no reported enough data on the use of Epifine cream in pregnant women. The potential risk in humans is not known, so Epifine cream must not be used unless it is necessary.
• Lactation :
There are no reported enough data of the use of Epifine cream in nursing mothers. The potential risk in humans is not known, so, Epifine cream must not be used unless it is necessary. Nursing mothers must not use the cream in the breast area.
• Paediatric Use :
Due to lack of safety data, Epifine cream is not recommended for use in the paediatric population.
• Geriatric Use :
Due to lack of safety data, Epifine cream is not recommended for use in the elderly population.
Overdosage :
Accidental Oral Ingestion
Epifine cream is for topical use only. In the event of accidental oral ingestion, an proper method of gastric emptying can be used.
