OVERVIEW
An uncommon reaction of the immune system to a medication.
In many of the cases, the allergic reaction is lenient. Critical cases can lead to shock and can be life-threatening.
Hives, rash and fever are common symptoms.
Treatment include discontinuing the medication that’s causing the reaction. Other medication can decrease the allergy symptoms, like antihistamines. In serious cases, bronchodilators or adrenalin may be needed.
SYMPTOMS

Hives, rash and fever are normal symptoms.
People can undergo:
Hives or rashes on the skin
Fever, itching, nausea, runny nose, swelling, watery eyes, or wheezing are also normal.
TREATMENTS
• Treatment consists of antihistamines
Treatment include discontinuing the medication that is causing the reaction. Other medication can lower the allergy symptoms, such as antihistamines. In serious cases, bronchodilators or adrenalin can be needed.
• Avoid allergen
Staying away from activators that can cause allergic reactions, like pollen or certain foods.
• Antihistamine
Decrease or stops an allergic reaction.
• Steroid
Modifies or simulates hormone effects, frequently to decrease inflammation or for growth of tissue and repair.
