Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone consists of three antihypertensive medicine :
• Telmisartan 40 mg, Cilnidipine 10 mg and Chlorthalidone 12.5 mg.
- Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker.
- Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker.
– Chlorthalidone is a diuretics.

Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone is a prescription medicine. Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone is a oral administration only and take Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone as directed by your doctor.
Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone can be taken after food, and should be swallowed whole and tablets must not be split, crushed, or chewed before swallowing.
Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor and never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. Always try to take Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone on regular schedule.
Always take Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone as prescribed, even if you feel well or your high blood pressure levels are controlled. • Cilnidipine : Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker, which blocks the activity of calcium channels present in the blood vessels of the heart. Calcium channel blockers lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
• Chlorthalidone : Chlorthalidone is a diuretic. Chlorthalidone lowers blood pressure by removing water and salt from the body through urine, thereby controlling blood pressure. Chlorthalidone improves blood flow by relaxing blood vessels.
Thus, Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone treats high blood pressure (hypertension).
Precautions & Warnings :-
• Avoid taking Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone if you are allergic to telmisartan, cilnidipine and chlorthalidone.
Consumption of alcohol should be avoided with Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidones, it may increase the risk of low blood pressure.
Pregnant women should consult their doctor before taking Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone. (When pregnancy is detected, telmisartan should be discontinued because telmisartan may cause injury to the developing fetus andmay even cause fetal death during the second and third trimester of pregnancy).
• Breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone.
• Before taking Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone, tell your doctor if you have high blood levels of calcium, low levels of sodium, low levels of potassium in the blood, gout, kidney stones, Addison’s disease and liver problems/disease.
• Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone may interact with certain medicines such as; aspirin, ibuprofen, amlodipine, amiloride, spironolactone, quinidine, digoxin, lithium, erythromycin, rifampicin and phenytoin etc.
• Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone is not recommended for children below 18 years of age.
