Monobenzone is not for the treatment of freckles, melanoma, sun damage, café-au-lait spots or other pigmentation disorders
Monobenzone is used to permanently lighten the skin in people with vitiligo. Coloring the skin darker around areas of vitiligo can help to even out the appearance and color of the skin.
